If you love designer fashion but don't quite have a designer budget, we've got your back. There's nothing worse (and I'm only slightly exaggerating) than seeing a cool item ALL over your Instagram feed, only to find out that it costs as much as a couple of months' rent, meaning you could never really afford it.
For the past few summers, that item has been the iconic Hermès Oran sandal. The flat, open-toe style features a geometric cut-out strap (fashioned into the iconic fashion house's ‘H’ logo, duh) over the top of the foot and available in a tonne of fancy colourways. We're talking 51 (!!) slightly different varying shades to be precise, including neutral shades of black, brown and white plus neon brights pulled straight from the rainbow such as red, blue, orange and green.
Admittedly, the standout hue does seem to be the gold colourway, that's actually more of a tan brown. And that's exactly what's top of our wish list this summer.
We'll be styling them with summer dresses at the weekend, pairing them with loose tailored trousers to complete our summer workwear 'fits and dressing up casual t-shirt and jeans combos. The point is, these beauties go with absolutely everything.
The bad news, however, is that this classic retails for a whopping £490 (!!).
For those of you who can afford the real deal, go for it – it's a staple that will see you through many seasons to come. But for those who cannot justify that splurge, you're gonna want to keep reading.
High street hero Dune London has just gone and restocked their more affordable Loupe style, right in time for summer.
Check it out here:
Dune's version also comes in a slew of different hues – 11 to be precise, not quite 51 but impressive nonetheless – and cost a far more reasonable £85.
So there you have it, cute summer sandals at two very different price points. Happy shopping, folks!
