Met Gala 2022: Best dressed on the red carpet

It’s the first Monday in May, which only means one thing: It’s the 2022 Met Gala – hurrah hurrah! And there’s no denying that today is everyone’s favourite day of the year (bar my birthday), as we get to gush and gawk at what this year’s most stylish celebrities and socialites have chosen to wear at fashion’s biggest red-carpet annual event.

As always, the extravaganza is being hosted in New York City at the Metropolitan Museum of Art and in true fashun fashion, Anna Wintour dictated the theme, which is… well… super vague as always TBH (see: 2019’s Camp). This year has been titled: In America: An Anthology Of Fashion. AKA: Gilded Glamour.

It may not mean much to you right now, but for the world’s best designers (who get to dress said celebs), all the better to get creative with, I suppose! But, do expect lots of corsets, long-boned bodices, and full-length gloves.
