Every time Meghan Markle dressed like Princess Diana

Meghan takes Diana's sartorial tip on the power of a LRD (little red dress). Doesn't she look like she's owning it here? It's like this dress was made for her. Meghan loves a classic pointed stiletto too and these neutral ones are perfection.

This is a fail-safe comb: high rise non=stretch jeans cinched tightly at the waist, worn with a Ralph Lauren shirt and Penny loafers. The pale pink shirt stops it from becoming too plain and the earrings make it feel more 'done'.

Meghan takes notes from Lady Di on the power of a good shirt. The Duchess adds a classic pair of black cigarette leg trousers and a heel instead of Diana's jeans and loafers. This is a great 'what to wear to get a promotion' combo by the way.

A pink floral dress is the ultimate feminine wardrobe addition. Diana wisely opts for a mid length style to avoid any possible wardrobe malfunctions from the wind. Diana respectfully wore a (very chic) sheer headscarf on her visit to Pakistan. We love the way you can see her pearl earrings peeping through the fabric and her use of heavy Kohl to draw attention to her eyes.

Meghan visited a mosque on her South African tour with Harry, and the likeness to Di's styling is striking. Meghan also loves making her eyes the focus with mascara and perfectly-painted liner.

We love the way Diana has offset this ultra demure high-neck purple number with a choker, it makes it feel *so* much cooler. The way she's perfectly matched the bag to the dress really keeps your focus on her beautiful dress.

The colour of Meghan's purple dress is almost identical to Diana's but she is so boujie she doesn't even need to carry a bag. Well, to be fair, she probably doesn't need a phone with her to arrange her Über at the end of the night, right?

This safari skirt suit is infinitely chic. The length is just-so and the colour doesn't scream "look at me" when she's focussing on serious plights of other humans, while the matching flat pumps are practical yet tasteful. Classic Diana. Swoon.

This is one of our favourite Meghan looks, so simple so chic and it feels very Diana. Megan is the master of the stiletto and she's matched the pale tone of her dress to all of her accessories in this look. Elegantly simple. LOVE!

The best part of this outfit is that Diana wore it to the premiere of Who Framed Roger Rabbit, which s major in itself. This pink satin number is by Catharine Walker, one of Diana's favourite designers, is such a fun look on her and the pearls are the perfect finishing touch. Just imagine her jewellery box...
