For fans of The Traitors (surely everyone, no?), tonight is officially the night when we *finally* discover the identity of the Secret Traitor. Exciting stuff to say the least, particularly in the cold, dreary depths of January. The only thing at risk of overshadowing such a momentous TV moment is Claudia Winkleman's outfit for the occasion.

Yep, the extensive selection of tartan, kilts and seriously good knitwear donned by the host – or make that ‘Lady of Darkness’, to quote already-banished traitor, Hugo – throughout the four series has routinely captivated audiences, and the latest episode is no exception. We're talking specifically about the green check wool coat Claudia layered over a knit jumper and tulle skirt.

The coat in question is the Harris Tweed Check Coat from British brand Brora, who regularly features in Claudia's Traitors' wardrobe in the form of fair isle jumpers and, most notably, those grey knit cashmere wristwarmers. While it no doubt looks perfectly in place in the Scottish highlands, we can just as easily imagine it on our morning commutes atop tailored midi dresses or thrown on over a cardigan and jeans come the weekend.

The forest green design is a true heritage staple and, as such, sadly out of our price range. Luckily, we've spied a similar style stocked on ASOS, courtesy of Noisy May's brushed wool look maxi overcoat in dark green check, that features the same colourway in an almost identical silhouette.

Or, if you're keen for a slightly more distinguishable design to give your own take on the trend, you can't go wrong with this BDG check wool maxi coat available exclusively at Urban Outfitters that shares the same cut but in a faded brown hue.

This is a tried and tested outfit formula from Claudia and her longtime stylist, Sinead McKeefry. You might recall she donned a similar look for the finale of the Celebrity Traitors back in November, opting for a grey herringbone Bella Freud coat paired with a roll-neck jumper from Theory, a Simone Rocha white tulle tiered tutu midi skirt and clompy Bottega black ankle boots.

Perhaps it's the current Baltic temperatures that have us hyper-focused on outerwear (and any warm clothing, tbh) but this might be our favourite Claudia outfit of the season so far.
