Sound the Miley Cyrus klaxon – the “Flowers” singer and former Hannah Montana star just showed up for the 2025 Met Gala, marking her return to the event for the first time in six years. Read: very big deal. For the event, which celebrated the opening of the new “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style” exhibition, Miley looked beyond amazing as she arrived wearing a statement crocodile leather crop top, cut high to show her ribs, paired with a voluminous drop-waist black skirt.

She accessorised with a gold necklace layered over the top of the top's high neck and a long braid. Oh this? It’s just Miley being Miley!

FYI – the last time Miley was at the Met was back in 2019 when she walked the carpet with her then-husband Liam Hemsworth, whom she divorced a year later. Her triumphant return saw her slay solo in the dramatic all black ensemble.

Miley is gearing up for the release of her new album, Something Beautiful, and told Harper’s Bazaar back in November that the project was inspired by Pink Floyd’s The Wall, saying, “My idea was making The Wall but with a better wardrobe and more glamorous and filled with pop culture.”

She added that the upcoming album is “hypnotizing and glamorous” and is “a concept album that’s an attempt to medicate somewhat of a sick culture through music.”

“The visual component of this is driving the sound,” Miley said. “It was important for me that every song has these healing sound properties. The songs, whether they’re about destruction or heartbreak or death, they’re presented in a way that is beautiful, because the nastiest times of our life do have a point of beauty. They are the shadow, they are the charcoal, they are the shading. You can’t have a painting without highlights and contrast.”

Cannot. Wait.
