Ariana Grande just took awards season dressing to new heights, showing up to the 2025 Golden Globes in a gown that would make Audrey Hepburn proud. The actor/singer arrived in a vintage, never-worn-before, Audrey Hepburn-era Givenchy Haute Couture dress from 1966. When we say our jaws are on the floor...

The archival design features a strapless, empire-waist silhouette with an entirely beaded bodice leading to a wrap skirt tied at the back with a bow in a soft shade of butter yellow. Ariana wore satin pumps in the same delicate shade on her feet and added elegant white opera gloves to emphasise the retro aesthetic. A delicate diamond choker necklace and matching drop earrings are the perfect finishing touches.

If she's not doubling as Audrey Hepburn, she could certainly give Daphne Bridgerton a run for her money.

The dress in question is from Givenchy's Haute Couture Spring Summer 1966 collection by Hubert de Givenchy who regularly collaborated with Audrey Hepburn throughout her career, including on a number of her silver screen ensembles. Per Vogue, the actress once reportedly said, “Givenchy's clothes are the only ones I feel myself in. He is more than a designer, he is a creator of personality.”

Rita Watnick-LILY et Cie said in a press release that Ariana via her stylist, Mimi Cuttrell, purchased the archival look from them, noting, “Fashion like this didn’t just happen by chance – it was the result of one of the most legendary collaborations in fashion and film history. The dress was unworn. It still had the original mode depose seal in place on the dress.”

Ariana was nominated for Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role in any Motion Picture for her work as Glinda in Wicked, alongside her co-star Cynthia Erivo with the two posing together on the red carpet. Still so obsessed with this friendship!
