After *finally* getting a glimmer of sunshine last week, the UK is back to doing what it does best: raining. Luckily, our fave celebs are on hand to provide all the escapism we need with endless vacay Instagram posts. Not to mention, serving plenty of inspo for our own warm-weather 'fits – ideal if you're heading off on a sunny getaway soon.
What I'm referring to as 'foresight' to book my holiday at the end of the summer season, therefore maximising the possibility of sun, (but was actually disorganisation meaning late September was the only remaining option) means I am taking extensive style notes. Especially when it comes to beach attire, with the aforementioned celebs kicking off bikini szn waaay back in April.
For of-the-moment trends, we're turning to Rita Ora. Specifically, her latest post that sees the singer in *three* different 'kinis as well as a seriously chic cover-up.
Rita's first lewk consists of a brown lace-trim two-piece with cross-neck halter straps. She styled the swimwear with a brown bandana tied as a sarong, brown round sunglasses and a woven tote. Rita had on her feet a pair of statement gold heeled mules with a 3D flower appliqué (hello corsage trend) on the toes, further accessorising with stacks of anklets.
Scroll through the carousel and you come to Rita's second 'fit – a white string bikini. Rita is wearing the top upside down, a style first popularised by the likes of Kendall and Kylie Jenner and Kim Kardashian last summer. She's added an on-trend belly chain for good measure.
And finally, Rita's third ensemble – and our favourite of all three lewks – is a hot pink see-through crochet dress worn over the Triangl Vinca bikini in an equally vibrant pink shade. The chainmail-inspired design taps into both the current Barbiecore aesthetic and the naked dressing that has dominated the red carpet lately. And it turns out the beach cover-up is from one of our fave independent British brands, House of Sunny.
Everyone's clicking on...
Crafted from metallic yarn with a scoop neckline and adjustable straps, the East London-based brand has made just 85 pieces of its Love Mail Dress – so you'll have to be quick if you want to replicate Rita's style.
When it came to styling the beach dress, Rita continued to tick off another of this summer's biggest trends by leaning into Y2K with platform heeled flip-flops, rectangular tinted frameless sunglasses and an embellished rope belt worn low on her waist. She layered on even more jewellery, including a boho beaded necklace and a chunky bangle on one wrist. Her Loewe x Paula's Ibiza ombré basket bag completed the look.
Now if you'll excuse me, I have summer holiday outfits to plan.
