Dua Lipa always seems to put her own personal spin on the fashion trend of the moment. Whether it’s a Hello Kitty version of the micro bikini, or opting for a Kill Bill-yellow biker jacket co-ord, every one of her looks contain a personalised detail, no matter how big or small. And that’s exactly what we’re seeing with her latest take on the denim dress trend.
This week, Dua shared another one of her signature Instagram photo dumps, containing delicious food, a dash of travel FOMO, and plennnnnty of outfit inspo. It’s her first look, though, that steals our attention. In the pic, the ‘Levitating’ artist wears a long denim midi dress with relaxed corset-style panels around the torso.
But it’s not until you scroll through the carousel, to the video of her running in the look, that you can see it from the front. As she skips towards the camera (in patent leather heeled boots, might I add), Dua’s dress is visibly unbuttoned from the hem all the way up to the thigh, giving the piece an unexpected edge.

Dua completes the look with an angular white handbag and silver details, including a pair of statement disc earrings.
Denim is a clear fave of the star's right now, with Dua wearing another quirky spin on the fabric on her recent trip to Jamaica. In addition to her swimsuits and crochet dresses, the 27-year-old opted for a double denim summer set with a very retro-feeling bralette top and maxi skirt.
