Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge (aka Kate Middleton) and her husband Prince William are on an eight day royal tour of the Caribbean right now, and last night, Kate debuted her first glamorous formal look of the trip. Kate wore a shimmering, watermelon-pink gown by The Vampire's Wife to a reception at the Cahal Pech ruins, and is it just us, or is she looking better than ever rn?
The party, hosted by the Governor-General of Belize, was in honour of the Queen's Jubilee this year, celebrating her 70 year reign. Kate pulled out all the stops, and we can'tttt get enough of her look. Let's start with the dress. It's a floor-length, fuchsia pink gown with a tie-waist detail. It sweeps the floor and has short flutter sleeves, anchored by an elegant boatneck design. Those. Sleeves. Though. Bright pink is somewhat of an unusual colour choice for the Duchess, who often opts for gold, silver, or darker jewel tones - so it feels super fresh and summery.
Kate styled her hair in a sleek blowout, smoothly bevelled under at the ends. Her centre parting highlighted some shimmering disc earrings by Onitaa, complete with pearl drops and diamond detailing. The finishing touches? Silver Jimmy Choo heeled sandals, and a Mayan embroidered clutch bag.
This isn't the first time K-Mid has worn a dress by the British label - she wore a forest green, shorter style from the brand back in 2020. We think it's a 10/10 look - and fans agree. According to LoveTheSales, searches for "ruffle dresses" surged by a whopping 288% in the hours following the event.
