Miley Cyrus, the queen of transformations, is at it again folks. Having started off as Miley Stewart by day and Hannah Montana by night, it's no surprise that when it comes to reinventing oneself, sheâs one of the best. Yet somehow, every single time she emerges newly transformed, I'm just as impressed as I was the first time.
Lately, Miley has been embracing all things rock'n'roll and has sampled everything from a platinum blonde mullet to an American flag-inspired outfit. Her latest look is in keeping with the rocker vibe but is a little less risqué and, IMO, one of her best yet.
In an Instagram post she shared last night; the singer can be seen making shapes in a number of different snaps at her preshow for BottleRock Festival. Rocking a shaggy platinum do, metallic blue smokey eyeshadow and a blue and white striped dress, she looks every bit the '80s rockstar.
The dress featured long sleeves that hooked over the thumb, an asymmetrical neckline and an off the shoulder design, giving us a cheeky view of her shoulder tatt and the two necklaces she had on. The shots were taken by photographer and director Vijat Mohindra (@vijatm).
Naturally, with Miley being Miley, there wasnât just one look so when it came time for the actual show, she swapped out her figure-hugging number for a custom Jean Paul Gaultier outfit. The equally-as-glam getup involved black high-waisted trousers, a black one-shouldered, cropped blazer with chain detailing and a silver cone bra Madonna herself would be proud of. She then accessorised with silver sunnies, many a ring and a single silver glove. Because, why not?
A few followers have compared her new look to the likes of Debbie Harry, the lead singer of Blondie, and most seem to be in full favour of the change with âQUEENâ and streams of heart-eye emojis making up a large portion of the comments section.
