Chrissy Teigen is building up her collection of meaningful tattoos, with a new piece of ink designed (and drawn) by her five-year-old daughter, Luna. Yes, really.

Chrissy has previously decorated her spine as a tribute to husband John Legend, as well as, heartbreakingly, getting a tattoo in memory of her late baby son, Jack.

As for Chrissy's latest tattoo, it's a pretty brave choice, with the model explaining that her five-year-old daughter, Luna, had drawn a butterfly directly onto her arm - leading to Chrissy getting it tattooed in exactly the same spot.

The tattoo is placed on the inside of Chrissy's forearm, just below her elbow, featuring Luna's sweet uneven butterfly. While Chrissy stuck to Luna's original drawing, she did turn to a pro for the actual ink, with the tattoo completed by LA-based artist Daniel Winter, aka Winter Stone.

Winter posted the piece to his Instagram Story, explaining how he kept the design exactly the same as Luna's drawing, even down to the uneven line weight.

Chrissy also shared her new ink on Instagram, in a post commemorating Luna finishing pre-school, as well as reflecting on the hardships of the past year.

Everyone's clicking on...

She wrote: "Luna drew this butterfly on me today and it seemed fitting to make permanent. I wanted @winterstone to move and center it, due to issues I also discuss in therapy, but in the end we decided to leave it right where she belonged. A little imperfect, a little messy, but hell she’s here to stay. Lol."

Reflecting on Luna's pre-school graduation, she added: "I sobbed because my god, what a year. But also, man. they’re SO young. Their eyes are gonna see so much. They’re going to experience pain, hurt, loss. But also love, success, unimaginable bonds with friends."

Thanking those who've been there for her throughout a tough year, Chrissy continued, "I pray all our little pod tots collect real ones all their lives. May they forever grow and learn, and maybe a little bit messy in the process."

We reckon a perfectly imperfect tattoo is a fitting choice!
