Butter yellow is one of *the* trending colours for spring 2026. It embodies warmth and optimism, and symbolises the blooming flowers and brighter days that come with the season. Yep, the transition from darker tones to sunnier shades means that winter is officially over (yay!), and we can finally dust off our spring wardrobes.
Right now, there's a string of brands jumping on this pastel shade, dropping everything from knit maxi dresses to sweet ballet flats. It's also filtered into interior design, too, with throws and cushions in the colour dominating our Pinterest boards and Instagram feeds.
The latest high street store to hop on the butter yellow bandwagon is Marks & Spencer, which has just released the sweetest cotton pyjama set. For those chronically online — and also looking to save a few pennies — you'll also know they're a Skims dupe thanks to TikTok. Coming in at just £32 for the set (as much as we love Kim K's shapewear brand, not all of us can afford sleepwear in the £100+ mark), they're both affordable and fashionable.
Let's unpack.
The set features a classic PJ top with a revere collar and a pocket on the left breast. It's also complete with breezy long sleeves and a button fastening, meaning it's super airy and light as we edge into the warmer months. As for the trousers, the full-length bottoms are made with ultimate comfort in mind: they have an elasticated waist and a ribbon tie, plus loose pockets perfect for those lazy pyjama days. Fit-wise, they're available in three different lengths: short, regular, and long, and come in sizes extra small through to extra large.
OK, we're totally adding these to our spring loungewear collection. All we need now is a dreamy Cotswolds cottage, an endless book collection, and a cup of steaming coffee, and we're living out our cottage core fantasy.
