We’re only five episodes into the new season of The Traitors, and unsurprisingly, we’re already gripped. The fan theories are running wild (who else is related or dating?!) and so are the contestants' wardrobes.
Now, we all know Claudia Winkleman is the queen of the castle with her penchant for chunky knitwear, heritage outerwear and fingerless gloves, all styled to perfection by Sinead McKeefry. However, it would appear that she has some competition on her hands this season.
From Stephen’s spread collars to Jade’s chunky cardigan, the wardrobe rivalry is heating up. Your CTFC (that’s Chief Traitors Fashion Critic, thank you very much) is reporting for duty, bringing you the best and worst looks from the Scottish Highlands. Let's begin.
The Traitors cast's style ranked from best to worst
Fiona
I adore this woman. The Farah Fawcett blowout, chunky bead necklaces and the combo of a salmon-coloured mac and jorts — she’s doing it like nobody else in the castle. Can’t wait to see what she wears next.
Stephen
From the moment he sauntered onto our screens in a sailor-esque ensemble consisting of a cropped blue jacket and wide-leg white trousers, it was obvious that Stephen was going to be that girl. He’s got a silhouette and he’s sticking to it — special mention to the tailored Hawaiian shirt.
Harriet
From one fabulous jacket to another, I’m still thinking about Harriet’s lime green Prada-style moment on the train platform. She also wears a silk scarf like no other — it’s giving author.
Everyone's clicking on...
Maz
Maz needs to drop the skincare routine ASAP — how is he 59 years old? His quarter-zip jumpers, practical shackets and crisp T-shirts give impeccable, trust-worthy vibes. I would collect and stack animal skulls in the forest for him.
Jessie
This one’s for the quirky girls. You have to respect someone with a signature colour palette, and she is making a play to own yellow and orange. Also love her commitment to the 90s tattoo choker (IYKYK).
Judy
Gone too soon, our Judy rocked her dungarees and striped shirt combo. Also the only person I’ve seen with a lip stud in a minute. Go on girl.
Jade
I have to admit Jade was largely under my radar until the last episode, where she wore a Hope Macaulay cardigan and matched her eyeshadow to the colours, effortlessly taking a leaf out of Jessie’s book. Considering she announced on Instagram today that she would be revealing where all of her outfits on the show are from, I’m expecting more from her as the episodes go on.
Amanda
The tucked collar on Episode 3? She saw our Ella Purnell digi cover and said, I’ll give that a go. Miu Miu would be proud.
Faraaz
Wearing your tactical vest with nothing underneath in the first challenge of the season? Bold move. Respect king!
Jack
The double feather earrings, Clubmaster glasses and vintage stall jackets are all screaming red flag. I would avoid this man IRL.
Rachel
The pink boob tube from the last episode was unforgivable. Also the giant gold butterfly earrings are burnt into my brain (in a bad way).
James
A fully grown man dressing like a teenager in a bad band is a big no no in my book. Hopefully Maz will rub off on him.
Hugo
Finally, Hugo gave me the ick the moment he appeared on my screen. I don’t believe the castle mandates a business casual dress code — he should have left the ill-fitting suits and shirts at home.
