Just when we thought our dreams of more Sex And The City had been entirely dashed, today we've been treated to the return of Carrie Bradshaw.
The beloved fashion icon, who has been away from our screens since Sex And The City 2 was released in 2010, has reemerged on Sarah Jessica Parker's Instagram account. The actress shared a video that sees her trotting down a Manhattan street in signature Bradshaw style, complete with fabulous attire and bouncy hair.
As the classic theme tune kicks in and the camera pans up, we see a pair of peep-toe white lace booties teamed with a frothy tulle skirt, one fingerless glove, a purple beaded bag and a sparkling belt over a gold lamé top. Yes, Carrie is officially back.
Admittedly, it's only briefly - and for a good cause. As per Parker's caption: 'My old friend. She is making a brief reappearance. Partnering with a great brand and supporting a cause we all care about. More to come. X, SJ'.
The cause has not yet been confirmed but the short video finishes with the hashtag #PourItForward. We can't help but wonder whether this relates to Stella Artois' Water.org partnership, co-founded by Matt Damon, which funds clean drinking water in underdeveloped parts of the world.
Chances are it's not for a SATC reunion - that ship seems to have sailed, thanks to the feud between SJP and her co-star Kim Cattrall. But we can dream, right?
Either way, consider us excited.
