Netflix's The Ultimatum Queer Love season 2: Which couples are still together?
The chaotic dating show is back!
It's back! One of the most chaotic reality shows on Netflix has finally brought back The Ultimatum Queer Love for season two. The dating show has extremely high stakes and sees six queer couples enter this unique experiment, in which one half of each couple has issued an ultimatum to get married, while their other half is on the fence about taking that next step.
The couples then split up and date another cast member, and enter a trial marriage with them for three weeks. They then reunite with their original partner and have a trial marriage for three weeks. At the end of those three weeks they then decide if they're going to get engaged to their original partner, couple up with the new one or walk away from both.
And this series sees six couples enter the experiment. But who has made it through? Well the first seven episodes are already available on Netflix but we've got to wait a week to get an update onto who is still together, but for now, here is everything we know about who is still together and who has called it quits.

AJ and Britney - Still together
Who issued the ultimatum?: Britney
How long have they been together?: Five years
After five years together, and with the rest of her life lined up Britney feels it's the right time for herself and AJ to take that next step. However, AJ is worried she can't match up to Britney's level of achievements and this is why she doesn't want to pursue marriage yet.
During the first week of getting to know the other cast members, AJ was popular with Marita, Bridget, and Marie, who all wanted to enter a trial marriage with her. In the end however, AJ enters a trial marriage with Marie, who she feels she can be the most vulnerable version of herself with.
Meanwhile Britney was trying to get to know Mel, however, Mel wasn't as interested in Britney. And so despite just getting rejected by AJ, Marita then ends up entering a trial marriage with Britney.
At first both of their marriages go well, however, things start to go downhill in the new relationships when AJ and Britney secretly meet up in the middle of the night, which leads to Marie feeling betrayed. It becomes apparent that both AJ and Britney are in friendship couples and are very happy to be reunited for their own trial marriage.
During their trial marriage there are a very bumps along the road, but they do mainly seem committed to each other, and we wouldn't' be surprised if they do chose to leave the experiment together.
Kyle and Bridget - Still together
Who issued the ultimatum?: Kyle
How long have they been together?: Two and a half years
After falling in love fast, Kyle wants to get married to Bridget and craves the stability a marriage could bring. However, Bridget is more of a free spirit and doesn't see the point in tying the knot.
During the first week they both pursue a connection with Pilar. Bridget also tries to get to know AJ and Ashley. Ultimately, Pilar and Kyle decide to enter a trial marriage together and then Bridget, after falling out with AJ, enters a trial marriage with Ashley.
In Kyle and Pilar's trial marriage, the pair get pretty close and they kiss at one point. However, soon after this they then have an argument about boundaries and how they feel about intimacy. They do however, come back from this and carry on working on their marriage.
For Bridget and Ashley they also work well in their marriage, but their connection is no way near as strong as Bridget and Kyle's OG connection.
When it came to Bridget and Kyle's trial marriage, Bridget was upset to find out Kyle and Pilar had kissed. However, they manage to work through it and decide to carry on focusing on their own relationship.
Magan and Dayna
Who issued the ultimatum?: Dayna
How long have they been together?: A year and a half
Despite being together for over a year, Magan and Dayna are struggling to agree on what their future should look like. Dayna is all about marriage and the security it'll bring them, but Magan is struggling with her family's reaction to her relationship with Dayna, which is making her reluctant to commit.
During the first week, Magan doesn't seem to want to be in the experiment and there's a point where it seems she's considering leaving. However, she doesn't and in the end she ends up coupling up with Haley for the trial marriage. Dayna meanwhile gravitates towards Mel and the pair get together for their trial marriage.
In the trial marriages both Dayna and Magan really connect with their new partners. Dayna and Mel stay up talking until 5am and Magan learns to feel more comfortable within herself after spending time with Haley.
The two couples[les then have a very awkward encounter by the pool, when Dayna ignores Magan in order to concentrate on her new relationship. Magan is obviously upset and following this both new relationships start engaging in more physical intimacy.
Dayna then introduces Mel to her family, who can't stop talking about their love for Magan. Dayna then tried to reach out to Magan, who wasn't having any of it because of the slight at the pool.
Then Dayna and Mel end up getting matching tattoos, and Magan confesses her love for Haley.
When Dayna and Magan meet up at the changeover, there's a lot of heated conversations, with Magan unveiling a sex playlist that she says prove Dayna and Mel have been intimate. During thier trial marriage they then end up fighting about the matching tattoos, before Magan reveals she's in love with Haley, which Dayna is upset about as she felt judged by Magan for doing the same thing with Mel.
So yeah it's not looking good for these two right now.
Marie and Mel
Who issued the ultimatum?: Marie
How long have they been together?: Four years
Marie and Mel are not only partners in life, but also in business as the pair share a food truck business. Marie wants to get married as she's ready for the next step and wants to have a family of her own. Meanwhile Mel is on the fence as she doesn't feel ready to have her own family because of the lack of examples she had growing up.
Marie ends up entering a trial marriage with AJ, and Mel with Dayna. Mel and Dayna grow very close in those short few weeks, they engage in physical intimacy and have very deep honest conversations, that led to Mel revealing things about herself that she's never told anyone, including that she's unable to carry children due to health problems. The pair then end up getting matching tattoos.
Meanwhile Marie struggles in her relationship with AJ, who meets up with her ex Britney one night during the trial marriage. It leaves Marie feeling rejected. Marie is then hurt further when Mel ignores her at the pool. Marie ends up feeling very lonely, before coming to terms with trauma of her own that she realises she hasn't properly healed from.
Marie then ends up hearing from Haley that Mel and Dayna have slept together, this is then brought up during the changeover. Mel calls her trial marriage to Dayna 'life changing'. Despite's Mel's connection with Dayna, Mel and Marie still pursue their relationship and seem somewhat committed to growing a future together.
Marita and Ashley
Who issued the ultimatum?: Ashley
How long have they been together?: Three years
Ashley and Marita are not on the same page romance wise. Marita is incredibly romantic and wants a lot of grand gestures from Ashley, who isn't prepared to give them and this makes Marita unsure if Ashley is the person for her. However, Ashley is keen on getting married.
Britney and Marita end up in a trial marriage, after Marita is rejected by AJ, Britney's original partner. Ashley meanwhile enters a trial marriage with Bridget. Marita and Britney's marriage is more friendship vibes but they do try and show up for each other, and in their closeness they manage to open up about certain things they're struggling with in their own relationships.
Meanwhile Ashley and Bridget also have a similar experience and are able to help each other open up about their past traumas and how to move forward.
When it comes to the changeover Bridget urges the couple to agree on what they want in a future relationship. However, this is one thing they cannot agree on and they carry on clashing. At one point Marita says she feels they act more like roommates than a couple. Ouch.
Haley and Pilar
Who issued the ultimatum?: Haley
How long have they been together? 10 years
Haley and Pilar have been in a relationship for a decade, but for eight years of that they kept it a secret from Pilar's family. Upon confessing to their love, Pilar's mum now doesn't speak to her and it's caused complications for the couple, as Pilar doesn't know how she feels about getting married to Haley when she doesn't have her family's support.
In the dating week Haley immediately connects with Magan, while Pilar is torn between Kyle and Bridget, before eventually deciding to enter a trial marriage with Kyle. Haley and Magan's new relationship goes from strength to strength with the pair engaging intimately.
However, things aren't quite as easy going for Kyle and Pilar who continually bash heads over their different outlooks on life. But it's not all doom and gloom. When Pilar meets Kyle's parents, Kyle's mum helps Pilar to understands her own parents more and tries to imagine what being in a committed long term marriage would be like.
The timing is not good though as Haley and Magan are falling for each other. When it comes to the changeover, Pilar's worst fear comes true as just as she is ready for marriage Haley has feelings for someone else.
When they enter their trial marriage, Haley confesses the extent of her feelings for Magan to Pilar. Will Haley and Pilar make it through this? Or is Magan the one for Haley? We'll have to wait for next week's episodes to find out.
