Temptation Island on Netflix: Which couples are still together?
Did the Island make or break their relationships?

Earlier this year we were all hooked to social media watching brief clips of a Spanish man Montoya being cheated on multiple times, as part of the Spanish version of Temptation Island. It was pretty devastating to watch and yet we couldn't look away. And now we get our own shot at watching the series as an American edition of the show finally arrived on Netflix. The series originally started in the early 2000s, took a break, was revamped in 2019 and is now having its first season on Netflix.
Four couples entered the island full of temptation (read: very attractive and enticing individuals) in order to test their relationships. The boys moved into a new villa, and the girls a separate one too, where they all faced the ultimate test of temptation. And their other halves were forced to watch what they'd been up to, in specially selected clips shown to them by host Mark L. Walberg. After weeks in the villas they were then tasked with deciding whether they wanted to carry on with the relationship they came in with, or start afresh with someone new.
So after 10 episodes of temptation, which of the four couples got left the island together? Here's what you need to know.
The Temptation Island couples
- Brion and Shanté - left the island together
- Tyler and Tayler - Tayler left the island alone and Tyler left with Kay
- Grant and Ashley - Grant left the island alone and Ashley left with Danny
- Lino and Alexa - left the island together and engaged
Brion and Shanté - still together
How old are they?: Brion is 26 and Shanté is 29.
What are their jobs?: Brion is in medical and pharmaceutical sales and Shanté is in clinical healthcare.
How long have they been together?: 1 year.
Why are they going on Temptation Island?: The couple want to start a family together, however early on in their relationship Brion became involved with someone else. It's caused trust issues between them and Shanté doesn't know if Brion can resist the allure of other women. They want to improve their communication by going on the Island and Brion also hopes Shanté will come out of her shell a little bit too.

What happened for them on Temptation Island?: It was a very tough journey to watch at times for these two. They agreed prior to going into the show was not to cross any physical boundaries, however Brion broke these rules when half way through the series he had a threesome with two of the single women. After the threesome Brion said he had no regrets and thought Shanté would forgive him. When she watched the clip of him during the third bonfire she was clearly disappointed by him but kept herself together.
As the series progressed Brion told himself the threesome had helped him get it out of his system and he actually did appreciate his sex life he had with Shanté, something he'd previously complained about.
Shanté didn't build any emotional connections with any of the single men in the villa. And while Brion went on many dates, a number of the women questioned his intentions, with Amiah calling him out on cheating on Shanté.
Are they still together?: At the start of episode 10, Brion and Shanté had their final bonfire and after a lot of deep chats and tears, and confusion on Shanté's side, the pair ultimately decided to leave the island together. Brion promised that he would find a therapist and that he would prove to Shanté she could trust him.
What's happened since the Island?: Nearly a year on from the end of filming Shanté and Brion are still going strong. The pair are both in therapy and doing a lot of learning about themselves and their relationship. And right now they're just enjoying life, while hoping to get married and have a family one day.
Tyler and Tayler - not together
How old are they?: Tyler is 27 years old while Tayler is 30 years old.
What are their jobs?: Tyler was in sales, but now he's a model and Tayler is a health education specialist.
How long have they been together?: Two and a half years.
Why are they going on Temptation Island?: These two started dating immediately after Tyler ended his six year relationship, and therefore Tyler has never really dated around and wants the opportunity to explore this side of himself. He also wants to go deeper and understand more about himself outside of a relationship. Meanwhile Tayler is looking for true commitment and given Tyler has already strayed once in their relationship she wants to be certain before they go further.

What happened for them on Temptation Island?: Early on in the show Tyler got to know single woman Kay. The pair got on very well, and went on a number of dates. After watching the couple build their physical connection, during a bonfire scene Tayler was upset but ultimately decided that her relationship with Tyler was over.
After this she then pursued a romantic connection with Yamen and the pair went on a number of dates, including Tayler picking him for her final date overnight. And Tyler continued to get to know Kay and start to contemplate their future together.
Are they still together?: Nope. During episode 10 the pair ended their relationship officially, and Tayler chose to leave the island by herself. After building his connection with Kay during the show, Tyler chose to leave with her.
What's happened since the Island?: Ok, so Tyler is now in a relationship but not with Kay, nor Tayler. Tyler hasn't seen Kay since filming ended. When Tyler returned to Nashville he ran into Tayler and they had a deep chat about their relationship, and Tayler apologised for her "bitch tendencies" comment. They spoke about potentially getting together, but ultimately called it quits.
Tyler is now seeing someone new who is not in the public eye called Lauren. As for Tayler? She's in her single era and spent the first six months upon returning setting herself the boundary of not dating, and is also in therapy.
Grant and Ashley - not together
How old are they?: Grant and Ashley are both 28 years old.
What are their jobs?: Grant has his own business and Ashley is an accountant.
How long have they been together?: On and off for a year and a half.
Why are they going on Temptation Island?: Early on in their relationship Grant was unfaithful, which has led to major trust issues between them. By going on the Island Ashley wants to put herself first and Grant wants to prove to Ashley he can be loyal to her, and in doing so this will allow her to trust him and allow the couple to move on with their future.

What happened for them on Temptation Island?: The whole point of the couple going on the show was for Grant to prove Ashley could trust him, however early on in the show he started to get to know Natalie on a romantic level. The relationship escalated and we soon saw them in the shower together. After Ashley watched the moment play out at the bonfire, she decided the couple were no longer together and she started to more actively pursue her connections with Danny and Logan.
Ashley went on a number of dates with Danny and she eventually ended up spending a night with Danny in the bed. Meanwhile Grant progressed getting to know Natalie more, while also being upset at Ashley getting to know Danny.
Are they still together?: No. During the final bonfire it was clear the couple's relationship was over, and Grant chose to leave the island single, despite his connection with Natalie. Ashley chose to leave the island with Danny.
What's happened since the Island?: Ok, guys buckle up, it's about to get messy. Danny and Ashley stopped dating as soon as the show ended. And then plot twist: Ashley began dating Grant again. However, he was also dating Natalie too, and had invited her on a work trip with him a week after they returned from the show. It was after this that he then started to see Ashley again, when the pair reconnected at a bar near Ashley's home a few months after coming back from filming. However, Grant is no longer seeing either of the women, and all three of them remain single.
Alexa and Lino - engaged
How old are they?: Alexa and Lino are both 28 years old.
What are their jobs?: Alexa is a labour and delivery travel nurse and Lino is a personal trainer.
How long have they been together?: Three years.
Why are they going on Temptation Island?: Early on in their relationship Alexa said they were "exclusive" but she was still getting to know other guys, leading to Lino feeling like a second choice. Having only been in one relationship, Lino wants to feel sure there are no more "fish in the sea" and Alexa wants to feel more secure and confident within herself before they commit to their future together.

What happened for them on Temptation Island?: Ultimately much of Lino and Alexa's journey during the show was about understanding themselves, and unpacking their past pain in the relationship. Neither of them really built a romantic connection with anyone else in the villas and neither broke any boundaries. During his final date Lino even goes shopping for engagement rings, which leads us to...
Are they still together?: Yes! At the end of episode 10 during the final bonfire, the pair chose to leave the island together and as they were leaving they headed out to a floral path. Lino got down on one knee and proposed, which Alexa happily said yes to.
What's happened since the Island?: These two are still very much in love and are currently in the process of planning for their wedding to take place in Italy next year. They recently moved again for Alexa's job but are planning to move back home to Florida once Alexa finishes her qualification and they can open a clinic together.
