*Contains spoilers*

The pods are officially open... and also, now closed as the wedding episode has just been released! Yep, it's the eighth time we've heard Nick and Vanessa Lachey say those immortal words, as season eight of Love Is Blind dropped on Netflix last month. The dating reality shows sees a group of 32 singles, this time from Minneapolis, go on a series of dates in pods, where they can't actually see their date. Through these dates they form romantic bonds, and eventually build connections so strong they end up getting engaged. And this season six couples got close enough to engagement, but who is actually still together? Here's what we know so far.

The Love Is Blind season eight couples are:

  • Joey and Monica - following the wedding they're not together
  • Ben and Sara - following the wedding episode they're not together
  • Devin and Virginia - following the wedding episode they're not together
  • Daniel and Taylor - following the reunion they're still together
  • David and Lauren - not together, having broken up earlier in the series
  • Alex and Madison - not together, having broken up earlier in the series

Bonding over The Sound of Music? Oh we were so here for Monica and Joey at the beginning. The couple got on instantly thanks to their similar sense of humour and shared beliefs (read: a dislike of country music). While a lot of their relationship was light-hearted they did have deep convos around their families. They become the first couple to get engaged on the series after Joey got down on one knee and of course Monica accepted. Upon meeting IRl for the first time, they got on just as well as they did in the pods.

During the trip in Honduras, Joey opened up more about his experience with OCD and Monica was insistent her sleep sound machine is part of their relationship. When they returned home and started to meet each others friends and family, Monica's sister, Nicolle, wasn't thrilled with her sister's choice.

Knowing the vibes were off, Joey then suggested perhaps there is an element of jealousy between the siblings. Trying to balance both her sister and her fiancé Monica suggested the pair talk one on one, which Joey agreed to.

However, this doesn't mean it was completely smooth sailing, in later episodes, Monica expressed her worry that she is more into Joey than he is into her.

And when it came to their wedding day, we weren't sure how it was going to pan out. At the altar while they both expressed their love for one another Monica went first and said she could not say "I do" as she wanted to be "100 per cent certain" and she didn't' feel like that in the moment. Joey seemed to take the news ok and the pair had a nice conversation before Joey spoke to the room and thanked them being there.

At the reunion, they discussed their lack of a romantic spark, with Joey citing Monica's sister as the reason for why they were so platonic.

Monica then revealed she learnt after they had the mini reunion with the pod crew during filming, Joey had texted Madison, but Joey maintained this was strictly a friendship message.

After their wedding Joey and Monica continued to hangout mainly in a friendship capacity. Joey then told Monica Madison was coming onto him which Madison later confronted Joey about it and denied it.

Monica and Joey end on their time on Love Is Blind on a somewhat friendly basis.

Relationship status: Not together

Ben and Sara started off talking about air fryers, and soon transition ed into deeper chats around religion, faith and the LGBTQ+ community, something that is very close to Sara's heart. Things seemed to be well, with the pair having a very honest about Ben going to church and if Sara would be open to it.

However, they hit a stumbling block when it came to discussions on other topics, particularly Black Lives Matter, and Ben's admission he didn't vote in the last presidential election. Ben tried to reassure Sara that his beliefs do in fact align with hers and she came to understand Ben more.

Ben later proposed to Sara which she happily accepted and their first IRL meeting at the reveal went very well.

Their time in Honduras went swimmingly, and when they returned to Minneapolis, they meet with Ben's friends who reassured Sara about what a great guy Ben is. It seemed it couldn't be going better until the end of episode nine Sara saw a TikTok comes out in which a woman is crying about the filming of Love Is Blind, and Ben says he think the woman is referencing him.

Ben then revealed he had already seen the video and blocked the woman, and that he hadn't spoken to the woman in over four years. Sara then questioned why the woman would be concerned if something had happened between the pair four years ago. Ben then confessed he had ghosted her after a date.

Sara seemed ok about the situation, saying she wasn't going to dismiss the woman's feelings but also trusts Ben for now. However, in a later episode they meet up with a family or friend who questions if now is the right time for them to get married.

And the final episode kicked off with the couple's wedding, which saw Sara say she could not go through with their marriage. She cited their differing values and beliefs as the reason for her decision. Ben tried to ask if they could continue building on the relationship, and Sara said "we'll see".

At the reunion it was revealed the pair did continue living together for a few weeks after filming their wedding. Sara then had to work in Nashville for three months and they had discussed Ben coming to stay with her for an extended period of time due to his remote work.

However, Sara then claimed he stopped sharing his location and sent out three "scripted" apology messages which Sara didn't reply to.

Ben however claimed they had broken up before she went to Nashville and Lauren stepped into say that's not what she had heard from Sara. We love a supportive friend.

They ended their segment on the reunion by Sara saying she felt love-bombed and Ben felt ghosted by Sara.

Relationship status: Not together

Devin and Virginia hit it off on day one after discovering they both went to the same high school, but didn't attend at the same time. They continued to grow their connection, however Devin also got to know Brittany too.

He opened up about his struggles with addiction with both women which in turns sees them open up. Devin and Virgina agreed they want to build a relationship that's based on faith, and Brittany spoke about her sexuality, and that she had experiences with women, but doesn't see herself marrying one.

After this Devin focused more of his attention on Virginia and they ended up giving each other gifts. He then wrote Virginia a letter, which he read out to her and proposed to her. And their first meeting goes well.

During the trip to Honduras they continued to build on their connection and it seemed as if nothing could go wrong. However, reality sets in when they get home. Virginia was honest about her business goals, including wanting to be a millionaire, while Devin is focussed on being a basketball coach. They came to blows over Virginia bringing up getting a pre-nup and having separate bank accounts in their marriage.

However, they go onto meet Devin's family and Virginia gets on with them really well and has his mother's blessing. On their wedding day, Devin said "I do" but Virginia did not. She said she wasn't ready to get married and it was a very tearful moment between the pair. There seems to be a lot of love between the pair, maybe they will have reconciled ahead of the reunion?

Yeah turns out there's no chance of that happening. During the reunion Virginia revealed Devin had shared his core values with her off-camera, but won't share them with the audience as that's for Devin to do. He simply says that as a Christian it's important to love everyone.

And that wasn't all. Following the wedding Virginia found out Devin had been sent a message from his ex the night before the ceremony, which he maintains was platonic. Virginia ended up meeting with the woman to find out what happened. She also went onto claim Devin had started to ghost her and wouldn't pick up her calls, which he denies and said was the other way around.

Relationship status: Still together

Daniel and Taylor had one of the first dates we got to see in the pods. They got on really well, and opened up about their body insecurities and bonded over their shared love of Christmas. After many successful dates, the pair ended up writing letters to each other, and after the letters, Daniel then proposed to Taylor, which she happily accepted.

After their meeting in person, Taylor was left with the feeling that something wasn't quite right and began to suspect Daniel may have followed her on Instagram before they went into the pods, because of all the things he seemed to bond on her with.

The pair settled down for a conversation for Taylor to address her suspicions and she said she felt like she already knew him and not in the cute "we're soulmates" kinda way, as in he had followed her on Insta kinda way. Daniel then denied following her and she then asks him about certain pictures on his Instagram.

The next set of episodes opened with the rest of the conversation and Daniel continuing to insist he never followed her. Production then allowed Taylor her phone so she could check to see if Daniel has followed her previously, and she found out he hasn't.

Following this Taylor is re-committed to Daniel and they travel to Honduras together. They continued to grow their bond and have a great time on holiday. When they moved in together everything went well, and they meet each other's families and they all get on.

And when it came to their wedding day, the pair both very sweetly said "I do" and chose to get married to each other. At the reunion the couple revealed they are still very much together and have spent their first Christmas together and bought a house too.

David and Lauren

Relationship status: Not together

After the release of episodes 10 to 12, we can confirm things are no more between this pair, with Dave pulling the plug on his romance with Lauren in episode 11. As for the reason? It seems Dave had lingering feelings about one of Lauren's pre-show hook-ups, and he opened up about how this manifested in their romance.

"I was so confident in, like, what I wanted in my marriage. And that's what I thought we had before coming home," Dave explains to Lauren on Love Is Blind. "We get our phones back, I get millions of messages and they're telling me, like, why are you engaged to this girl that basically had a boyfriend going into the experiment? Everybody in my circle, all of my close friends and family, AKA my sister, heard about this guy."

And at the reunion they carry on talking about that guy. However Dave finally admits he was the one with the issue and in fact later found out the guy in question had been "fabricating" information about his relationship with Lauren. Lauren said Dave then sent her an apology text message.

Dave then went onto say he thinks Lauren is the one who got away, but she's not buying it, as she points out he has her number and has seen her out since the show ended filming.

Here's a recap of everything that happened before their break-up...

David and Lauren's first date saw David make a joke about Lauren's age, but weirdly, it worked for her and the two had a great first date. They bonded over their shared visions of the future, including ideas of how they'd raise children and they also kept things light talking about their tattoos.

However, David was also getting to know Molly and they built a strong connection too. Lauren discovered the bond these two had made and asked that he makes a choice between the two of them.

David eventually bit the bullet and ended things with Molly, and fully pursued his connection with Lauren. David then ended up proposing and they had a good first meeting, if not a bit sticky from Lauren's lip-gloss.

During the trip in Honduras, the couple weren't intimate and they also got into some awkward conversations when Lauren revealed she had dated two guys that David knows of. He questioned her intentions and whether she's really ready for marriage.

When they moved in together back home, David was reluctant to introduce Lauren to his loved ones because of her connection with the guys he knows. Lauren continued to insist how casual the connections were, and her friends back her up when David meets with them.

Alex and Madison

Relationship status: Not together

Alex and Madison instantly bonded during their first few dates in the pods, and also got vulnerable with each other pretty quickly too. Madison opened up about her family situation and Alex spoke about his experience of bullying in childhood.

In the meantime, Madison is also getting on really well with Mason, who is also forming a bond with Meg. Does this make it a love square?

Mason makes it clear Madison is his top priority, which has the opposite effect on her and she makes Alex her number one. Soon after Alex and Madison become boyfriend and girlfriend, and Meg and Mason pursue things.

Just as they're nearing an engagement, Alex defends Mason to Madison, and she feels betrayed by her partner. Alex then says they're not ready to get engaged and so they both leave the experiment single.

The pair reunited at the reunion, and Madison kicked things off by saying she thought Alex was fake on camera. She then went onto say Alex begged her to stay in LA with him, which he denied. Madison later gets upset when she discusses people not believing her feelings for Mason and Alex.
