We love nothing more than a gripping thriller and ITV has treated us with their new four-part drama Playing Nice, which dropped last night (5th January). Based on the novel of the same name by JP Delaney, the tense series follows two couples who discover their children were switched at birth and after amicably deciding to keep their children, things soon take a dark turn. The series has a very impressive cast and this is where you know them all from.
Pete
Pete, who was born and grew up in Cornwall, is the dad of Theo and is in a relationship with Maddie. Before the birth of Theo he worked as a journalist and is now working part time as a landscaper.
James Norton
James Norton, 39, plays the role of Pete in Playing Nice. James has been on our screens for years and you'll most likely know him from his roles in Happy Valley, War & Peace, Grantchester, McMafia, or Little Women, to name a few.
Maddie
Maddie is Theo's mum and is in a relationship with Pete, she originally worked as a chef in London before heading up a restaurant in Cornwall.
Niamh Algar
Maddie is played by Niamh Algar, 32, who you'll most likely know from her roles in the series The Virtues, Malpractice, Mary & George and Suspect.
Miles
Miles is originally from Scotland but now lives in Cornwall with his wife Lucy and their son. He's mega rich and has built a stunning property on the cliffside.
James McArdle
James McArdle, 35, plays the role of Miles in Playing Nice. You might know James from his work on stage including his roles in Angels in America and Platonov, or from his TV roles which include Sexy Beast and Mare of Easttown.
Lucy
Lucy is Miles' wife and David's mother. Before having their son she was an artist.
Jessica Brown Findlay
Jessica Brown Findlay, 37, takes on the role of Lucy in Playing Nice. You'll most likely know her from her role as Lady Sybil Crawley in Downton Abbey. She's also had major roles in Harlots, The Flatshare, The Riot Club and England is Mine.
