Earlier this year we received some of the best news possible when the BBC confirmed they were making a celebrity version of the iconic The Traitors series. The reality series sees a group of contestants hauled up in a Scottish castle where the group of 'Faithfuls' must work out who amongst them is actually a 'Traitor' hoping to steal the grand prize pot for themselves.
Following the release of the second series at the beginning of the year, in August the BBC confirmed a celebrity edition would be coming. In a statement the television channel said: "The multi-award-winning hit psychological game format The Traitors, hosted by Claudia Winkleman, has been commissioned for a fourth series as well as a nine-part celebrity version."
So far no official lineup has been revealed, with a Traitors spokesperson telling The Sun: "The Traitors is a game that includes lies and deception, thus it would be foolhardy for any Faithful to speculate before the game has begun."
But maybe we're just not very good Faithfuls, as we are desperate to know who will be heading to the castle with Claudia, and in fact many celebrity names have already been rumoured to be appearing the cast. Just as nosy as us? Well here's the rumoured Celebrity Traitors cast so far.
Daisy May Cooper
Actor, writer and all round icon Daisy May Cooper, who you'll best know from This Country, is one of the names rumoured to be taking part in the celebrity version of The Traitors. A source told The Sun Daisy is expected to appear alongside her brother Charlie.
They said: "Bosses are convinced Daisy and Charlie will be great players. They’re hilarious, witty and have award-winning acting skills."
Charlie Cooper
Daisy's younger brother Charlie, 35, who co-created This Country, is also rumoured to be appearing on the new series.
Stephen Fry
Back in September it was rumoured British legend Stephen Fry was said to be in the lineup for The Traitors Celebrity. The Mail on Sunday reported a source saying, "Stephen is the perfect contestant. He's so clever and so cunning. Claudia absolutely loves The Traitors.
"It was a gamble she took and it paid off so massively. She's passionate about the celebrity version and wants the best cast possible."
As for whether he's actually taking part? Well Zoe Ball asked him on Radio 2 recently about his rumoured participation, to which Stephen replied: "I've heard rumours that I'm in it… but I'm not allowed to comment."
Paloma Faith
Singer Paloma Faith is the most recent celebrity rumoured to be taking part in the new series. A source told The Sun, Paloma is a "fascinating character" with lots of "stories to tell" and will make for a great player.
They said: "Paloma is a fascinating character with plenty of stories to tell of life in the public eye, and great fun to be around. She’ll be an incredible player and will bring some glam to the castle - Claudia will have competition.”
Tom Daley
British Olympian and former Cosmopolitan UK cover star Tom Daley is also set to appear in the series following his retirement from diving.
Tom is reported to be in final talks to appear in the series, after reportedly being a "top target" for many reality series bookers.
Clare Balding
Sports broadcaster and occasional Celebrity Gogglebox cast member Clare Balding is rumoured to be heading to the castle for The Traitors Celebrity, after previously rejecting any reality TV offer.
A source told The Sun: "Clare is an absolutely brilliant signing because she's always turned down reality offers flat.As such, this will offer the first real glimpse into what she's like as a person. She's known to generations of TV viewers from fronting everything from racing and the Olympics through to Crufts and occasionally Countryfile. And could anyone really believe that the Beeb's dependable, sensible face of sport could be a treacherous liar?"
Robert Peston
ITV News' political editor Robert Peston is also thought to be joining the new series. The Sun reported the journalist is said to appear on the show and will be using his knowledge of Westminster to succeed in the game.
"Poaching Peston for Traitors shows real ingenuity on the BBC’s part," a source told the publication. "Peston will be relying on his knowledge of Westminster back-stabbing to bring his A-game to Celebrity Traitors.”
Courtney Cox
Yep, you read that correctly. The Friends icon was reportedly the first celebrity to sign up for the series.
You may remember last year Courtney appeared in a video with none other than Claudia Winkleman, encouraging people to apply for the show.
In the clip Courtney begged Claudia to be part of it, to which Claudia responded: "I've said this to you before, it's no. You cannot apply if you're a celebrity or one as famous as this one. Now, off you go."
It appears Claudia may have changed her mind...
Rylan Clark
We all love him and it appears we could be getting even more Rylan, as the presenter is reportedly set to be signing up to the series, after previously expressing his interest in joining.
Speaking to Radio Times earlier this year, Rylan revealed while he has sworn off reality TV, The Traitors is the one show he would take part in.
"I would hate nothing more than to be a contestant [on reality TV] again. Unless it was on Celebrity Traitors. I’d go to town on that. Literally every time I see Claudia, I'm like, 'Why has this not been done? Sort it out or I'll cut your fringe off, babe,'" he told the publication.
