The making of a teen slasher film should be known as one of the greatest art forms in cinematic history. Juggling gruesome and gory scenes, satirical comedy, and a fun and approachable storyline is no easy feat. But Netflix managed to pull all the stops — plus, a lot of early 2000s nostalgia — for their latest teen horror movie, Time Cut.
The movie is kind of like Back to the Future meets Scream. It follows a teenage girl in 2024 who finds a time machine, and travels back to 2003, days before her sister was killed by a masked singer. She embarks on a quest to try and alter the future by trying to do everything in her power to save her sister.

Madison Bailey as Lucy Field
Lucy knows she's smart and capable, having been accepted into NASA's prestigious summer internship programme. But she feels trapped in her hometown, Sweetly. The death of her older sister, Summer, has cast a shadow over her and her family's life —especially since the murderer was never brought to justice. When she accidentally gets transported to the past, she tries to see if there's a way to alter her and her sister's fates.
Madison Bailey is an American actress and singer who is also known for playing Kiara "Kie" Carrera on the Netflix teen drama series Outer Banks.

Antonia Gentry as Summer Field
Summer was a popular student at Sweetly High. She may not be an A student, but she's got big dreams. However, her future gets taken from her when she becomes the last of four students who were brutally murdered by a serial killer in 2003.
Antonia Gentry is an actress who is popularly known from her role as Virginia "Ginny" Miller in the Netflix's Ginny & Georgia.

Griffin Gluck as Quinn
Quinn is the sweet, innocent, physics nerd who has a big crush on Summer. When he meets Lucy and finds out about her whole time travelling situation, he tries to help her get home and prevent her from doing anything that would destroy the space-time continuum. But all it takes is Summer to convince him that some things are worth the risk.
Griffin Gluck is an American actor and model. Some of his previous include Netflix's Tall Girl, American Vandal, and Locke & Key, as well asBig Time Adolescence with Pete Davidson and the second season of Cruel Summer. As a child actor, he alsostarred in Just Go With It and Why Him?.

Megan Best as Emmy Golden
Emmy is Summer's best friend, and one of the victims of the serial killings of Sweetly High students. She was murdered at the Marine Museum where she worked.
Megan Best is an actress who's also starred in the films Nobody and Seance.

Samuel Braun as Ethan Myers
Ethan is the popular boy at school, who's a jerk, a bully, and Summer's ex-boyfriend. Summer's parents suspect that he's responsible for the murder of their daughter.
Samual Braun is an actor whose previous work includes Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters, Honour Society, and Bring It On: Cheer Or Die.

Sydney Sabiston as Val Vaughn
Val Vaughn is one of the four high school students who were murdered. Her killing was particularly brutal as it took place on a shopping centre escalator.
Sydney Sabiston is a Manitoba-based actress and filmmaker. Aside from Time Cut, she's also starred in American horror film All Fun and Games, which also stars Asa Butterfield and Natalia Dyer.

Kataem O'Connor as Brian Palmer
Brian is Val's boyfriend, and also Ethan's best friend. Like Ethan, he's a bit of a bully, but looks out for his friends. He gets murdered, along with Val, while shopping.

Michael Shanks as Gil Field
Gil is Summer and Lucy's father. He works at a nuclear research company called SONR. And though he knows the huge opportunity the NASA internship would be for Lucy, he fears losing another daughter.
Michael Shanks is a Canadian actor most known for his role as Daniel Jackson in the long-running military science fiction television series Stargate SG-1.

Rachael Crawford as Kendra Field
Kendra is Summer and Lucy's mum. She used to love cooking dinners with Summer, but since her murder she hasn't cooked anything up in the kitchen. Nothing's been the same with her since Summer's murder.
Rachael Crawford is an actress who's best known for her roles in Brewster Place, Here and Now, and Show Me Yours. She's also made several guest appearances in other TV shows.

Mr. Fleming is Lucy's high school science teacher at Sweetly High School, and also her mentor. He also taught Summer's class. He tries to counsel Lucy and help her with her science career.
