Married At First Sight Australia: All the couples who are still together

There's been a number of success stories over the years

By

Since Married At First Sight Australia began more than a decade ago in 2015 (yes, it's been 11 years of MAFS), there's been over 100 couples formed who made it down the aisle. But after weeks of tests, family visits and commitment ceremonies, what has the been the Married At First Sight Australia success rate?

Well, we're definitely nowhere close to a 100 couples staying together. But from across the seasons there has been a number who have made their relationships work on the outside. They've gone onto move in together, get officially engaged and have children of their own. After welcoming a whole new batch of couples for season 13, which is airing right now in the UK, these are all the couples who are still together from the previous 12 series of Married At First Sight Australia, and be prepared: there's some seriously cute moments ahead.

1

Rhi and Jeff - season 12

As season 12’s only success story, Jeff and Rhi proved that slow and steady does indeed win the race. Unlike many of their castmates, Jeff and Rhi’s journey was surprisingly drama-free – but it did come with a twist. When Rhi walked down the aisle, the pair quickly realised they already knew each other. The two had actually dated briefly before the experiment, splitting after just a few weeks when the timing wasn’t right.

After the show wrapped, the couple confirmed they were still together, and even took a major step by moving in together in Melbourne, saying it helped “cement” their relationship in the real world. Now nearly a year on, the couple still look so loved up!

Jade and Ridge - season 11

Jade and Ridge were the last couple to enter Married at First Sight Australia season 11 and yet they've stayed together ever since.

The couple ran into a few challenges during their time on the experiment, namely Jade being unsure if she could deal with Ridge's immaturity and if he was ready to be a step father figure to her daughter Victoria. However, at the final vows ceremony the couple agreed to make their relationship continue on the outside.

Following filming there was some speculation Ridge had cheated on Jade, which she has since addressed. Speaking to Hit Network’s The Pulse with Seany B & Emma G, Jade said the speculation was true to a "certain point". Before going onto clarify, "Ridge is such a nice person like, he's so caring to everyone so sometimes he can do the wrong thing and message exes without realising that it would upset me," she said."Certain things probably he disclosed that he shouldn't have."

Jade added: "I think the line is very blurred with it. For me, I feel like it was a line that was crossed that I wasn't happy with, just because I didn't know about the interaction. In the physical [cheating] sense like, no."

It now appears the couple have gone from strength to strength, telling New Idea magazine about their plans to get engaged for real (the marriages on MAFS aren't legally binding) and their desire to have children together.

And more than two years since they first appeared on the reality show the couple are still going strong.

Ellie and Jono - season 11 (but not matched by the experts)

Now this was a dramatic twist in season 11 of Married At First Sight Australia season 11, wasn't it? Despite Ellie Dix originally being paired with Ben Walters, the pair didn't work out, leaving the experiment at the half way point.

Jono, meanwhile, was paired with Lauren Dunn, who made it the whole way through the experiment - before a fellow bride revealed he had been messaging Ellie behind Lauren's back. During the Final Vow ceremony, Lauren dramatically called things off with Jono, telling him "It's not me, it's you", and despite him insisting nothing romantic was going on with Ellie, the pair then showed up to the MAFSAU Reunion and dinner party hand-in-hand.

After insisting nothing ever went on behind Lauren's back, the pair emerged as an official item. And the pair are very much still together, having celebrated their two-year anniversary, and recently sharing snaps of them travelling Egypt together.

Evelyn and Duncan - season 10 (but not matched by experts)

Evelyn Ellis and Duncan James met during season 10 of the series after being matched up by the experts to different partners. Initially, Duncan was matched with Alyssa Barmonde, and Evelyn with Rupert Budgen, but unfortunately things didn't work out.

After the experiment ended, Evelyn and Duncan revealed they were dating in May 2023, with Duncan revealing, "We started hanging out a little bit after the show. Everyone's sort of friends in the cast, and obviously me and [Evelyn] living in Sydney we probably hung out a little bit more."

More than two and a half years later the pair are still going strong, after moving in together a year ago.

Melissa and Bryce - season 8

Melissa Rawson and Bryce Ruthven are one of two couples who are still together from MAFS Australia season eight.

Throughout their time in the experiment the couple faced many challenges, with Bryce admitting Melissa wasn't his type after their wedding. There was also a rumour Bryce had a girlfriend back home, whilst appearing on the experiment, however Melissa stood by Bryce during this. And during their final vows the couple decided to stay together.

After leaving the experiment Melissa and Bryce started a podcast about what life is like after appearing on a reality show. In July 2021, the couple announced they were engaged and expecting twins, with their sons born a few months later in October. And in February 2023, the couple got married officially in a new ceremony surrounded by their loved ones. They've now celebrated their three-year anniversary, and regularly share pics of their family of four. So cute!

6

Kerry and Johnny - season 8

Kerry Knight and Johnny Balbuziente were the second couple to come out of MAFS Australia season eight still together.

They were late comers to the experiment but that had no impact on the strength of their relationship, with them both saying yes during the final vow ceremony.

Following their time on the show, the couple got engaged for real in 2022 and kicked off 2023 by getting legally married with a stunning wedding.

In January 2024 the couple announced they were expecting their first child together, and in June Kerry gave birth to the couple's adorable daughter Chloe.

Jules and Cameron - season 6

Jules Robinson and Cameron Merchant are one of two couples who are still together from MAFS Australia season six. They were firm fan favourites and made MAFS history when Cam proposed to Jules in the final vow ceremony.

Following their time in the experiment they went onto get legally married with a beautiful ceremony in 2019. In 2020, the couple announced the birth of their sweet baby boy Ollie. In February 2024, the couple announced they were expecting their second child together and in July Jules gave birth to their second son Carter. What a beautiful family!

Martha and Michael - season 6

Martha Kalifatidis and Michael Brunelli are the second couple who are still together from Married At First Sight Australia season six. The couple's relationship started off strong from their wedding day and during the experiment Martha gave Michael a "make over". Their only real problem was the debate about where they should live, with Martha wanting to remain in her native Melbourne.

However, this didn't stop their relationship and they both said yes to committing to each other during the final vow ceremony.

Following their time in the experiment the couple lived in Melbourne before moving to Sydney in 2020.

As the weddings on MAFS aren't legally binding, Martha and Michael got engaged in 2021 to the delight of everyone.

Martha gave birth to the couple's first child Lucius, in February 2023 and, surprise! She's pregnant again, with their second child due any minute now.
