Don't be alarmed, but 16th November 2020 marks 30 years since Home Alone was first released. Three decades later, the record-breaking movie is arguably still everyone's first choice festive family film. If it isn't, perhaps have a quiet word, yeah? As well as making almost $500 million at the box office worldwide, the movie also kickstarted acting careers and led to huge opportunities for people working on the film behind the scenes. So, to mark this major Home Alone milestone, let's take a look at the OG cast then and now, and what they've been up to since.

Macaulay Culkin was just 10 years old when he played the youngest McCallister sibling in the first Home Alone film, but it wasn't his first acting role and definitely wasn't his last.

After the success of Home Alone, the actor went on to star in My Girl, Home Alone 2: Lost In New York and RiĀ¢hie RiĀ¢h, to name just a few. Later, he took a step back from acting, but is now back in the spotlight after starring in Seth Green's 2019 comedy-drama Changeland. The 40-year-old also recently signed up to the tenth series of Ryan Murphy's American Horror Story, due to drop next year.

Joe Pesci really needs no introduction: the same year he starred in Home Alone, he played Tommy DeVito in Goodfellas and bagged himself a Best Supporting Actor Oscar for the role. He's also been in the likes of Casino, Lethal Weapon, Gone Fishin' and more recently he starred alongside Robert De Niro and Al Pacino in the three and a half hour gangster epic, The Irishman.

As well as appearing in the likes of comedy classics City Slickers 1 and 2 and the second Home Alone movie, the actor also went on to do lots of voiceover work on ads and shows like Nickelodeon's Hey Arnold! and Family Guy. He's also a successful artist, specialising in bronze sculptures.

Prior to playing Kate in Home Alone, Catherine was already earning herself award nominations for her impressive acting roles. And, following the film's release, she went on to star in a whole list of other brilliant shows and comedies, from Schitt's Creek to the more recent Netflix show A Series of Unfortunate Events. Earlier this year, she picked up an Emmy for Lead Actress in a Comedy Series for her role as Moira Rose in Schitt's Creek.

Linnie's iconic Home Alone line? "You're what the French call... 'les incompetents.'" Linnie was Kevin's older sister, though she wasn't quite as mean as the rest of his siblings.

In 1996, Angela played Kathy Sanders in Jerry Maguire alongside Tom Cruise and Renee Zellweger and also starred in Adam Sandler movie Spanglish in 2004. According to IMDb, Angela's had a number of recurring TV roles in the likes of 24, CSI and Law & Order. More recently, Angela's been focusing on her voiceover and narrator work and also recently starred in Annette Bening-directed play Coastal Disturbances.

Devin went on to appear in Home Alone 2, Dennis the Menace and 2013 film Nebraska before going on to rack up lots of TV credits, including appearances on Law & Order, Agent Carter and Chicago Med. Last year he starred in Hustlers with Jennifer Lopez and Constance Wu.

Fuller was Kevin's Pepsi drinking, bed-wetting cousin. Macaulay's younger brother in real life, this marked Kieran Culkin's very first acting role.

Kieran's big break out role came in 2002 with Golden Globe nom-earning Igby Goes Down. He also appeared in The Cider House Rules, Father of The Bride 1 and 2, Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, The Mighty and Fargo. He now plays the immature and entitled but sometimes hilarious Roman Roy in HBO's award-winning drama Succession.

As well as playing Jeff in Home Alone 1 and 2, Michael is also known for his role in Nickelodeon's The Adventures of Pete & Pete. While he appeared in 2019 film High School Confidential, he's largely worked behind the camera on TV and film sets as an electrician since 2010.

The actor, who sadly passed away in 2017, appeared in a string of films before playing Peter in Home Alone, including 1981 film Cutter's Way, Big with Tom Hanks and Beaches with Bette Midler. Following the 1990 Christmas movie, he went on to star in the likes of Deceived with Goldie Hawn, Home Alone 2 and HBO drama The Sopranos, which earned him an Emmy in 1999.
