The stars have *finally* returned to screens
Warrior Nun is back for season two, and we couldn't be happier to see our favourite cast members (and some much-loved newbies) back on screen again.
The show kicked off with season one back in 2020, and we promptly found ourselves stalking the show's stars on Instagram. The series, based on the comic books created by Ben Dunn, is a mix of mythology, fantasy and moral complexities, and makes for perfect marathon viewing. Alba Baptista plays Ava Silva
Portuguese actor Alba made her English-language debut in series one of the Netflix series, which begins with her character waking up in a morgue with an angel's halo embedded in her back. In Warrior Nun S1, she's 19 but IRL she's actually now 25. Before the Netflix show, Alba starred in a number of Portuguese telenovelas, and she's since appeared in feature film Mrs. Harris Goes To Paris.

Lorena Andrea plays Sister Lilith
Warrior Nun was London-born actor Lorena's big breakthrough role, and she's now set to star in Disney's upcoming live-action The Little Mermaid. Lorena, whose character Sister Lilith believes she's the rightful halo bearer, made her film debut in 2016 film Jesters and also appeared in 2018 film No Man's Land.

Kristina Tonteri-Young plays Sister Beatrice
Kristina, whose first acting credit was Warrior Nun, previously graduated from The Guildhall School of Music & Drama. As well as acting, her skills include singing (Mezzo-soprano) piano, ballet, period dance, acrobatics, stage combat, and horse riding, according to the Guildhall School website.

Olivia Delcan plays Sister Camila
According to IMDb, Spanish actor Olivia grew up between Los Angeles and Menorca. Her acting credits start in 2015 and include films Isla Bonita and Lejos del mar.

Tristán Ulloa plays Father Vincent
The French-born Spanish actor/writer/director is best known for 2001 film Sex and Lucia and 2007 film Pudor. He's also received an impressive list of award wins over the years.

Thekla Reuten plays Jillian Salvius
Thekla, who plays the CEO of a tech startup looking to challenge the Vatican, has appeared in countless films and TV shows since the late 90s including 2018 film Red Sparrow, Highlander: The Source, In Bruges and also TV series Lost.

Sylvia De Fanti plays Mother Superion
Actress Sylvia De Fanti returned to Warrior Nun S2 as Mother Superion. Born in Montreal, Canada, Warrior Nun was her first English-language series lead role.

Meena Rayann plays Yasmine Amunet
Meena is a new arrival to Warrior Nun as of season two, playing Yasmine. However, you *might* actually recognise her from Game of Thrones, as she starred as Vala in season five and six.

Jack Mullarkey is another season two newbie playing Miguel, and it seems he's a big fan of posting all the fun Insta snaps.

Emilio Sakraya plays JC
Emilio sadly only appeared in season one of Warrior Nun, but we still loving seeing his Insta updates regardless.
The German actor made his screen debut in 2010 film Zeiten ändern dich before going on to appear in a number of other German films and TV series, including horror movie Heilstätten, drama series 4 Blocks and police drama Tatort. As well as acting, Emilio can sing (you can check out his music here) and is a skilled martial artist who won Germany's Full-Contact Karate championship twice.

Toya Turner plays Shotgun Mary
Toya's Shotgun Mary unfortunately didn't return for Warrior Nun season two either.
The actress has a long list of acting credits on IMDb that go back to 2006, including small parts in Empire and Chicago Med, and she's since starred in NBC's New Amsterdam. Her bio on her website reads, "Toya Turner is a Jamaican-American, who grew up in Chicago, Illinois. She trained at the prestigious British American Drama Academy (BADA) at Oxford University."

May Lifschitz plays Chanel
May is another actress who only appears in Warrior Nun S1 - but we'll be watching her next projects closely!
According to IMDb, 25-year-old May started acting aged 19 when she appeared in Danish thriller Sorte måne. As well as appearing on screen, she's also a successful model and, following in the footsteps of Valentina Sampaio, she was the second transgender model to appear in a Victoria Secret's campaign when they partnered with British lingerie firm Bluebella.
