As the royal wedding edges closer, the nation’s love for Meghan Markle is reaching fever pitch. Like the ‘Kate effect’ before her, ‘Meghan effect’ has us doing all sorts of things - even dressing up as her for a whole week to see what it's like.
Thankfully, prior to her engagement to Prince Harry, and therefore her inclusion in the fairly restrictive institution that is the Royal family, the then-actress helmed a successful lifestyle blog. Named The Tig, the Suits star penned the site for three years, and its contents read something like a how-to guide on being Meghan Markle.
The website included political posts, recipes, city insider guides, relationship advice and even playlists, which helped us all to be a little bit more Meghan. Unfortunately, the site closed in April of 2017, as her relationship with the Royal became more serious. Thankfully, Travel & Leisure have unearthed a 2016 post which named her ‘badass’ books to read, so we can become as wise as the bride-to-be.
