Selfridges, London
The scene where we’re all screaming at Alan Rickman’s character Harry for buying a flashy necklace for his secretary Mia, instead of his incredible wife Karen was actually filmed in the Oxford Street department store Selfridges.
We want to know more. Did they smuggle Rowan Atkinson in past unsuspecting store employees? Are all the other people extras or shoppers? Do Selfridges really include a gift wrapping service complete with cinnamon sticks?!
London Heathrow Airport
The film comes to a close, everyone comes home for Christmas and little Sam runs after his love Joanna who is about to catch a flight home to the US. All of this took place at Britain’s biggest and busiest airport, London’s Heathrow in Terminal 3.
There’s even now a little plaque there to let passengers know <3
Canary Wharf London Underground Station
When Colin Firth’s character Jamie starts learning Portuguese, because he’s realised his love for the housekeeper at his French holiday home Aurelia, he finds time to practise whenever he can.
This includes when he is doing some Christmas shopping and walking down a packed escalator of Christmas shoppers – filmed at Canary Wharf’s tube station.
St Luke’s Mews, Notting Hill
The pastel-coloured row of houses where Juliet and Pete live are found in west London.
You know the scene: Mark inappropriately tells Juliet via a selection of cards that he’s in love with her, despite being her husband’s best mate, and then she inappropriately kisses Mark despite being married to his best mate. Cool.
Oxo Tower Wharf, central London
The walkway by the River Thames right next to the Oxo Tower is where Mark freaks out after Juliet pops round to see the pretty creepy, actually, wedding video which is entirely of her.
Oh, Andrew Lincoln.
Gabriel’s Wharf, central London
The lovely scene where Sam tells Daniel that the reason he is in “TOTAL AGONY” is because he is in love with his classmate Joanna, not being bullied or something worse, takes place on a bench overlooking the Thames at Gabriel’s Wharf in central London.
It's actually about a five minute walk from the Oxo Tower wharf in the previous slide and, in the film, you can see St Paul’s Cathedral and the city across the river.

Grosvenor Chapel, Mayfair
Ah Peter and Juliet’s lovely wedding with the incredible gospel choir and surprise french horn band that all seems so magical until we realise best man Mark is massively in love with Juliet.
This scene was filmed at Grosvenor Chapel in Mayfair, central London. The church marries many couples IRL too.
Bar de la Marine, Marseille, France
It turns out the restaurant in Portugal that Mark Darcy Jamie hurries to declare his love to Aurelia at is not actually in Portugal, at all.
Nope, the Bar de la Marine restaurant is in France in the southern port city of Marseille. So if your passion for Love Actually extends so far to take a trip overseas to see a restaurant then go for it. No judgement here.
