Christmas just isn’t Christmas without a few festive films - fact. With so many holiday movies to choose from, picking what to watch can feel overwhelming. Classics vs new festive favourites
There’s a reason classic Christmas films are revisited every year. Timeless favourites likeHome Alone, Elf, and Love Actually never lose their charm. That said, newer releases deserve their moment too. Recent hits such as Falling for Christmas and The Princess Switch have already earned their place among modern festive favourites.

That Christmas (2024)
Looking for a new animated film to get your Christmas cheer stuck into? The residents in Wellington-on-Sea are hunkering down ahead of the worst snowstorm in history, which threatens to ruin everyone - including Santa's - plans.
The calibre of talent lending their voices is stellar, including Bill Nighy, Brian Cox, Guz Khan and Jack Wisniewski, plus an original song from Ed Sheeran. The whole project was written by Richard Curtis, who's behind Love Actually.

Dashing Through The Snow (2023)

A film about Eddie Garrick (played by Ludacris), a man who has lost his faith in Christmas, until he spends time with his daughter on Christmas Eve and bumps into a man named Nick in a red suit.
The Family Switch (2023)

Ok, we're really excited for this one. Best. Christmas. Ever! stars Heather Graham as Charlotte, a woman who is fed up with hearing how wonderful her former college friend Jackie's life is and so she decides to turn unannounced at Christmas to see if everything is just as amazing as Jackie pretends it to be. BTW Jackie is played by the Brandy Norwood, which is reason enough for us to be watching the movie on repeat all festive season.

Eddie Murphy and Tracee Ellis Ross star in Prime Video's new Christmas movie Candy Cane Lane which sees Chris (Murphy) inadvertently make a deal with an elf that sees the 12 Days of Christmas come to life and completely wreak havoc on his family and town. This is a serious case of be careful what you wish for.

An animated adaptation of Dr. Seuss’s 1957 book, The Grinch follows the cynical Mr Grinch and his pet dog Max, as they plan to ruin Christmas for everyone who lives in Whoville. Featuring original music from Tyler, The Creator and a voiceover from Benedict Cumberbatch, it’s a worthy change to the 2000 movie.
