Joey is one of the few characters that isn't our favourite in the film, we won't lie. A rich kid who is quite a fan of himself, Joey pays Patrick to take out Kat thinking he can then date Bianca. When he's rebuffed for Cameron by the youngest Stratford sister, he doesn't take it too well and effectively tries to ruin prom night for everyone. Harsh.

Ms Perky is the headteacher of the high school that Kat, Patrick, Cameron, Bianca and the gang attend. She is strict-ish, a bit kooky and also partial to an erotic novel.

What has Alison Janney not been in (and, what do we not love her in?) Around the same time as 10 Things I Hate About You, she played C.J.Cregg in The West Wing (until 2006).

Since then, TV wise, she received a 2014 Emmy for her role in Masters of Sex and has played Anna Faris' mother in Mom since 2013.

Film wise, she's appeared in Drop Dead Gorgeous, was Penny (Amanda Bynes') religious fundamentalist mother in Hairspray, Emma Stone's mother Charlotte in The Help and a Detective in The Girl on the Train .

Last year, she won an Best Supporting Actress Oscar and BAFTA for portraying Tonya Harding's (played by Margot Robbie) mother LaVona Golden in I, Tonya.

Walter is the father to Kat and Bianca and also an obstetrician who is quite anxious that his daughters will end up pregnant. To try and prevent this from happening, he makes them wear a fake baby bump, apparently so that the reality of a teenage pregnancy dawns on them.

65-year-old Miller has had a number of iconic (if you ask us) roles since the 1980s including playing the stuck-up shop assistant in Pretty Woman, Paolo the hairdresser in The Princess Diaries (1 and 2) and Kyle's dad Tommy in 8 Simple Rules and .
