This weekend, our Instagram feeds and TikTok For You pages have been littered with Coachella content, from Sabrina Carpenter's cheeky headline set to Kourtney Kardashian's star-studded Camp Poosh. But alongside the hazy desert festival scenes, there's been another video that has caused quite the stir online.
Yep, Kylie Jenner took to social media to share the ultimate house tour with her millions of followers. Set to Sabrina's innuendo-filled track, 'House Tour,' the youngest Kar-Jenner really showed viewers how the other half live. Now, considering Coachella is located in Southern California, it's highly likely that the property she spotlighted was one of the several Palm Springs homes her family has purchased over the years — not her nearly complete 30,000-square-foot mega-mansion in Hidden Hills. (We'll wait for that second house tour.)
At the beginning of the video, Kylie was filmed pulling up to the sprawling estate in a golf cart before heading inside. The footage then cut to a massive indoor-outdoor living space, perfectly designed with multiple Skims-style furniture sets, green foliage and spotlights. As Kylie moved further inside, viewers got a glimpse of sweeping mountain views and a huge infinity pool.
Later, Kylie jumped in a mirrored lift, which took her to a private basketball court, where she flexed her sports skills. The TikTok then cut again, this time, to a cosy home cinema complete with soft furnishings and a huge screen playing an old Justin Bieber music video (a nod to Justin's Coachella headline set last night).
Finally, Kylie ended the jaw-dropping tour on a large covered patio that offered unobstructed views of the Palm Springs mountainous scenery. As she leaned against a cream and wooden opaque balcony, surrounded by white cushioned sunloungers, Kylie appeared small and far away — another example of the sheer scale of the property.
Of course, Kylie was bombarded with comments after posting the video — many of which divided fans. While some joked that they "never want to hear that money doesn't buy happiness again," and asked where they could sign up to be the family's maid in order to live there, others pointed out the obvious wealth divide and called the reality star "tone deaf."
"So out of touch it's actually funny," one person said, as another called the video "dystopian." "No one should be this rich," a third commented, while a fourth complained that "life is so unfair."
Elsewhere, someone else made the point that "it's so crazy how something as little as 1k could change my whole life, and it would be like spare change to people like Kylie."
However, other fans were a little kinder, commending Kylie for working hard. "Well deserved. I hope you are proud of yourself," they said. But, whichever side of the fence you sit on, there's no denying that the home is stunning. And yes, when can we move in?
