Warning: For those watching in the UK, there are major spoilers ahead, so turn back now if you have better self-restraint than we do

Married at First Sight Australia may be weeks away from leaving our screens in the UK, but with the hit Channel 4 series having finished filming long ago on the other side of the globe, what's happened to the most hopeful couple of the series Stella and Filip?

Here in the UK we're still mid-way through picking up the pieces of contestants descending into dinner party rants worse than any tirade many of us witnessed in pre-school. However, in Australia, the addictive reality TV series has long come to an end - which is probably a massive relief to Stella and Fillip.

The beauty technician and carpenter remained calm amid the storm of their fellow contestants' drama. But have Stella and Filip left the experiment as strong as they seemed throughout? And where are the couple now?

From the get-go, Stella and Filip appeared on the show as a couple dedicated to the true purpose of the experiment - committed to finding their forever person.

The expectation of honest, transparent and kind communication was established as early on as their wedding day when Stella's friends raised concerns about Filip's career. Filip's response to their worries immediately calmed them and the pair only went from strength-to-strength from there.

Whether it be their lack of engagement in the highly dramatic dinner party antics between some contestants or their considerate and clear communication with one another when sat on the sofa opposite John, Alessandra and late powerhouse Mel - Stella and Flip's strong commitment to one another became apparent. The pair exhibited a quiet determination and investment in growing together as a team to build something which would work on the outside of the experiment.

While others spread rumours and focused on 'receipts', Stella and Filip reportedly poured their energy into waking up early before filming to prioritise private conversation as a couple. They also made sure to discuss pivotal issues they'd expect to face as a couple, from contraception to who would relocate once they left the show.

And as for the pair's Final Vows episode? Well, as if the pair hadn't given us enough hope in finding love already, they both nailed their speeches and then Filip only went and got down on one knee to propose to Stella.

Stella responded: "It all makes sense why it didn’t work out in the past. I’ve waited for this person for 32 years of my life."

Can someone pass us the tissues please?

But... Yes, the big but. Have the pair stood the test of time? Or was their romance a fairytale which worked on-camera, but one that didn't quite find its happy ever after in real life?

Well, you can use that very same tissue to wipe that anxious sweat from your brow in relief.

Stella and Filip - from what we can see - are very much still loved up and united as a team.

The pair posted a hilarious video of themselves dancing to Instagram alongside the caption: "POV: we were the 'boring' ones."

On 7 April, Stella also shared several snaps to her social media of them looking extremely in love on the beach, engagement ring on full display.

Her caption reads: "We came in ready to love bravely... We are leaving with the love we were seeking in this lifetime. Funny how the unknown turned into home.

"P.S. Guys... the best kept secret is finally out. And honestly? It was surprisingly easy not to share it straight away. We got to sit in our little love bubble, just us - no noise, no pressure - while building our new life in Sydney, quietly and intentionally. Like everything in life - nothing is given and everything that is worth something.... well you have to work for it. So glad we did.

"Now that it's out... We're so excited for everything that's coming next."

Married at First Sight Australia is available on E4 and Channel 4 now.
