ITV’s new psychological crime-thriller, Gone, has graced our screens for the previous two nights.

Led by a stellar cast including David Morrissey and Eve Myles (see the full cast list here) the drama follows Michael Polly, a local headmaster who quickly emerges as the prime suspect in his wife Sarah’s sudden disappearance.

After a mountain search and shock arrest in last night’s episode, the plot has indeed thickened.

But if you’re hoping to tune into another twisty episode of Gone tonight, there may be disappointment. Don’t panic — the gripping new drama hasn’t disappeared entirely! It just has a slightly unusual weekly schedule.

Here’s everything you need to know about why Gone isn’t on tonight, when the next episode airs, and the full release schedule so you don’t miss a thing.

Why isn’t Gone on ITV tonight?

The psychological crime thriller Gone follows a Sunday and Monday night broadcast pattern, with new episodes dropping at 9pm on both evenings. That means there’s a short midweek wait between episodes.

So if you watched the latest instalment last night, you’ll need to hold out until Sunday for the next one.

When are the next episodes of Gone airing?

Episodes will be airing Sundays and Mondays at 9pm on ITV, for the next two weeks.

So after a double dose of the series, there’s a few days to theorise about what’s really going on before the next batch of episodes.

However, if you really can't wait until next Sunday then you're in luck as all six episodes are available to stream on ITVX now.
