The Capture season 3 returning cast
Holliday Grainger as Rachel Carey
Who is Rachel Carey? Rachel has now stepped up as Acting Commander of Counter Terrorism Command, a year after shocking the nation with a live deepfake exposing the secretive Correction program.
On how her character has changed over the years, Grainger said: "When we first meet Carey in series one, she’s on the fast-track scheme in the Met - ambitious, determined, and not necessarily making friends. She discovers Correction, an illegal system of faking video evidence, and because of her strong moral compass, she becomes a whistleblower rather than looking the other way. Across series one and two, she fights to expose Correction, and by series three she’s risen rapidly through the ranks. She believes her integrity is intact but series three explores what happens when those morals begin to fracture."
What else has Holliday Grainger been in? The actress is known for her roles as Robin Ellacott in Strike, DI Rachel Carey, and Lucrezia Borgia in The Borgias, and has also appeared in films like Cinderella (2015), Great Expectations (2012), and The Finest Hours (2016); she currently stars in The Stolen Girl on ITV1.
Ron Perlman as Frank Napier
Who is Frank Napier? Napier is a high-ranking CIA Section Chief and key figure in the "Correction" program, using advanced technology to manipulate surveillance footage and control outcomes. Napier and Rachel have a difficult relationship, with Perlman recently stating: "It’s always been uneasy. Rachel is idealistic, determined, and very careful never to cross legal lines. Frank is older, has seen more, and is more willing to blur those lines because he’s lived through the consequences of getting it wrong. There’s tension between them but also respect. He recognises how intelligent and ambitious she is, qualities he admires, and maybe finds a little intimidating."
What else has Ron Perlman been in? The actor is best known for portraying Hellboy, Clay Morrow on Sons of Anarchy, and Vincent on Beauty and the Beast. A frequent collaborator with Guillermo del Toro, he has also appeared in Blade II, Pacific Rim, and Cronos, and his voice work includes Slade in Teen Titans and the narrator in Fallout

The critically acclaimed British actor is known for his roles in I May Destroy You, in which he played Kwame, The Lazarus Project, and Black Mirror’s 'Demon 79' episode. He has been cast as Severus Snape in HBO’s upcoming Harry Potter series, taking on one of the franchise’s most iconic roles.
Ginny Holder as Nadia Latif
Who is Nadia Latif? Nadia began as a detective sergeant and, through determination, rose to detective inspector. By season three, she’s working in Counter Terrorism Command under Carey, helping implement new technology called Operation Veritas - a supposedly tamper-proof camera system aimed at stopping Correction.
What else Ginny Holder been in? As well as The Capture, the British actress played Officer Darlene Curtis in Death in Paradise and Thandie Abebe-Griffin in Holby City. She has also appeared in Midsomer Murders and the film London Has Fallen.
Tessa Wong as Chloe Tan
Who is Chloe Tan? Chloe is a fast-tracked detective constable introduced in season two of The Capture, working in the Homicide team alongside DI Nadia Latif and DS Patrick Flynn.
On where viewers will find her this season, Wong explained: "Chloe is very much a shadow of Rachel Carey. She came up through the programme quickly and is eager to prove herself. She’s detail-driven, observant, and determined to earn her place. In series three she’s more embedded in the team, but still very focused on backing everything up with facts."
What else has Tessa Wong been in? The actress has previously appeared in Black Mirror, Smothered and Midsomer Murders.
