In need of some good TV this weekend? Then may we suggest you binge-watch Netflix's newest comedy-drama series Vladimir. It's funny, steamy and full of iconic cast members.
The new series is inspired by the novel of the same name by Julia May Jonas, and follows the lead character (Rachel Weisz) as she navigates her husband being accused of a number of allegations and losing her grip on her power as the most popular English professor at her college. Oh, and she's also fantasying about the new married professor that's just turned up, played by Leo Woodall. But will it ever turn into anything more than a fantasy?

Rachel Weisz as The Protagonist
Who is The Protagonist? The series lead character whose name we never learn, is a professor and essentially ruled the roost, along with her husband, at her small liberal arts college but now feels like she is losing her grip.

Leo Woodall as Vladimir
Who is Vladimir? Vladimir or Vlad is a celebrated writer and new professor who comes to teach at the Protagonist's college and wants to write his new novel. He's married to Cynthia and they have a three-year-old daughter together called Phee
What else has Leo Woodall been in? Leo Woodall is best known for playing Dexter in Netflix's One Day. He's also known for starring in The White Lotus, Prime Target and Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy.
John Slattery as John
Who is John? John is the Protagonist's husband and fellow professor, who has been accused of sexual misconduct and gets suspended from the college they work at.
What else has John Slattery been in? John has been on our screens since the late 80s and is best known for his roles in Mad Men, Spotlight, Desperate Housewives, The Good Fight and for playing Howard Stark in multiple movies in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Jessica Henwick as Cynthia
Who is Cynthia? Cynthia is Vladimir's wife and also a fellow professor at the college. The Protagonist worries Cynthia is taking her place, despite Cynthia's admiration of The Protagonist. She's also looking to write a book.
What else has Jessica Henwick been in? Jessica has appeared in everything from Game of Thrones, to Knives Out: Glass Onion, and Iron Fist. She's also had roles in Silo, Blood of Zeus, and new movie How to Make a Killing.
Ellen Robertson as Sid
Who is Sid? Sid is John and the Protagonist's daughter, who is a lawyer in New York.
What else has Ellen Robertson been in? Ellen has previously appeared in Mickey 17, and episodes of Black Mirror, Too Much and The Outlaws.
Tattiawna Jones as Alexis
Who is Alexis? Alexis is Sid's girlfriend and wants to start a family with Sid.
What else has Tattiawna been in? Tattiawna is best known for her roles in TV shows such as Murderbot, Wayward, Washington Black, Station Eleven, The Handmaid's Tale and The 100.
Kayli Carter as Lila
Who is Lila? Lila is one of The Protagonist's former students and a complainant in the case against John.
