From the producers of The Crown comes The Lady, ITV’s latest series exploring the shocking true story of former royal dresser Jane Andrews, whose life unraveled in dramatic fashion following her murder conviction in 2001.
The partly fictionalised crime drama charts the rise and fall of Andrews, who worked for Sarah Ferguson for nine years before being found guilty of killing her boyfriend, Thomas Cressman. She was later sentenced to life in prison.
Starring Mia McKenna-Bruce as Jane Andrews and Natalie Dormer as Sarah Ferguson, Duchess of York, the four part series kicked off on ITV1 on Sunday night and has already got viewers talking. From where the real Jane Andrews is now to who Thomas Cressman was, these are just some of the many questions people have been asking.
The show will continue on Monday 23rd February. So you don't miss a moment here's a full release schedule including dates and times.

What is The Lady about?
The Lady tells the gripping story of Jane Andrews, the former royal dresser whose rise from working-class Grimsby to the halls of Buckingham Palace ended in tragedy. After answering an ad in The Lady magazine, Jane stunned her friends and family by securing a role as the Duchess of York’s dresser, moving among Britain’s elite for nine years.
However, her carefully constructed world came crashing down when she lost her job with the Duchess. Jane later met the charismatic businessman Thomas Cressman and fell deeply in love, but their fairytale romance quickly unraveled, ending in his shocking murder.
Speaking on the series, writer Debbie O'Malley said: "When Jane Andrews was tried for the murder of Thomas Cressman in 2001 it made headlines around the world. But behind those headlines, lay a much more complex, painful and thought-provoking story - an exploration of female ambition and human frailty and a devastating chain of events that ended in the taking of a man's life. And this story, tied up with our national preoccupation with class and our ongoing obsession with the Royal family, feels every bit as relevant now as it did twenty years ago."
