The first full trailer for the Peaky Blinders film has finally landed - and it’s already sending fans into meltdown.

Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man will be out in cinemas on 6th March, with the full film dropping later that month on Netflix. The story picks up after Steven Knight’s hit series and sees Cillian Murphy back in the sharp suit (and sharper flat cap) as gang leader Tommy Shelby. This time, he’s returning to Birmingham against the backdrop of World War Two, hinting at a darker, higher-stakes chapter for the Shelby empire.

And if the trailer is anything to go by, there’s plenty to unpack. From surprise faces to new character's and hins about Tommy’s next move, here’s a breakdown of the biggest reveals and potential spoilers.

Stephen Graham is back

The two-minute trailer sees Stephen Graham return as Hayden Stagg. Introduced in the final series, the sharp-tongued Liverpool dockworker and union convenor quickly proved he wasn’t intimidated by the Shelby name.

When confronted by Arthur over stolen heroin from the docks, Stagg stayed calm, clocked Arthur’s struggles, and refused to be bullied, marking him out as a very different kind of threat. Now, with Stagg returning for the film, it looks like he’ll once again be testing loyalties and potentially putting Tommy in a difficult position.

Sophie Rundle reprises her role as Tommy's sister Ada

Sophie Rundle is also back as Ada Thorne, and from the trailer it’s clear she’s not holding back. In one tense moment, she tells Tommy: "Your gypsy son is running the Peaky Blinders like it’s 1919, all over again."

She’s referring to his illegitimate firstborn son, Duke Shelby - now stepping up as the gang’s leader and played by Barry Keoghan.

It hints at a power shift within the Shelby ranks, with Ada seemingly warning Tommy that history could be repeating itself in dangerous ways.

Barry Keoghan takes over as Duke Shelby in the film, stepping into the role previously played by Conrad Khan. From the trailer, it’s clear Duke is running wild through Birmingham, brutally asserting his place as the new head of the Peaky Blinders.

But as Keoghan explains, there’s more to him than just violence: "That’s a boy, just looking for his father," the Oscar nominee told Empire. "Being a father myself, I really did relate to Duke, because there’s this cry for his father and this cry for the figure that he needs to be there."

It introduces a character who’s both threatening and conflicted, with a pivotal role alongside Tommy.

By the looks of things, Tommy Shelby is a changed man in The Immortal Man, insisting: "I can’t help him because I’m not that man anymore."

Years have passed since we last saw him riding off on a white horse, and as creator Steven Knight explained: "He’s in a very bad place… He’s withdrawn from the world. He’s haunted by his life and the things he’s done." But the trailer makes it clear he won’t stay away for long.

"For family, he’s invited to come back to the world and save his son," Knight added to Entertainment Weekly.

We later see Tommy arriving at the Garrison Tavern, cap on, with the clip ending as he comes face-to-face with Duke.

Duke Shelby might be a Nazi traitor

The trailer also teases a darker turn for Duke Shelby. Tim Roth, joining the film in a new role as an English officer, confronts him privately with a chilling proposition: will he betray his country and aid the Nazis?

"I need to know that you are willing to take part in an act of treason that will decide this war for Germany," Roth asks.

And Duke’s response is disturbingly casual. He basically says the world doesn’t care about him, so he doesn’t care about the world either. So, is this a yes?

Rebecca Ferguson as Kaulo - a new love interest for Tommy?

Rebecca Ferguson joins The Immortal Man as Kaulo, a mysterious and enigmatic figure whose presence immediately puts Tommy Shelby on edge.

In the trailer, she tells him: "You abandoned your kingdom and you abandoned your son," revealing a striking awareness of both Tommy and Duke.

Kaulo speaks with a Romani-influenced accent, fitting her name, which comes from the Romani word kalo, meaning "black." Officially described as a "mysterious medium," she brings an air of spiritual insight and mystery and could also become a love interest for Tommy.

Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man is out in cinemas on 6th March and Netflix on 20th March.
