Death in Paradise is officially back, with season 15 now underway and Saint Marie proving just as deadly as ever. The new run kicked off last week, and episode two airs on Friday 6th February, continuing what’s already shaping up to be a dramatic season.
This time around, Detective Inspector Mervin Wilson finds himself faced with a case that’s closer to home than he expected. After discovering he has a half-brother, Mervin attempts to build a relationship with Solomon (Daniel Ward), only to learn that sharing DNA doesn’t necessarily mean an easy bond.
Alongside familiar faces, season 15 features an impressive line-up of guest stars, including Sarah Hadland, Gary Wilmot, Tim McMullan, Julian Rhind-Tutt and Ace Bhatti.

Catherine Garton as Sergeant Mattie Fletcher
Who is Sergeant Mattie Fletcher? Sergeant Mattie Fletcher joins the force following Darlene Curtis's (Ginny Holder) departure after seven years.
"She's really fun to play. She's sassy, but she's like your big sister who will tell you what's what, but you can also come to her if you need to," Garton said of her character.
What else has Catherine Garton been in? Garton's credits include The Gray House and The War Between the Land and the Sea.
Daniel Ward as Solomon Clarke
Who is Solomon Clarke? Solomon is the newly-discovered half-brother of DI Mervin Wilson.
What else has Daniel Ward been in? Daniel Ward is a rising talent whose credits include TV dramas Mood and This Is Going to Hurt, alongside stage roles in Tambo & Bones and Cat on a Hot Tin Roof. He trained with the National Youth Theatre and LAMDA, and is also the award-winning writer of The Canary and the Crow.

Don Warrington as Commissioner Selwyn Patterson
Who is Commissioner Selwyn Patterson? He is the long-standing, tough-minded but deeply loyal leader of the Royal Saint Marie Police Force
What else has Don Warrington been in? Warrington first became a household name as Philip Smith in the 70s sitcom Rising Damp. His long and varied career has since included roles in C.A.T.S. Eyes, Doctor Who and Red Dwarf.
Don Gilet as DI Mervin Wilson
Who is DI Mervin Wilson? DI Mervin Wilson arrived in Death in Paradise during the 2024 Christmas special, stepping into the role after Detective Inspector Neville Parker’s departure. Initially reluctant to stay on Saint Marie, Mervin had travelled to the island in search of the mother he had never met. What began as a personal journey soon turned into something more permanent, with Mervin ultimately putting down roots and becoming a key member of the island’s police force.
What else has Don Gilet been in? Before the role of Mervin Wilson, Don played a Andre Morgan in season four of the detective series. He's perhaps best known for playing the notorious Lucas Johnson in EastEnders. His other credits include: DS Nicky Cole in 55 Degrees North, and Jesse Law in Holby City, plus appearances in Doctor Who, The Beekeeper, Shetland, and Silent Witness.
Èlizabeth Bourgine as Catherine Bordey
Who is Catherine Bordey? Catherine is Camille Bordey's mother and the owner of Catherine's Bar, where she allows the team to talk through cases and celebrate their wins. In season six, she became the Mayor of Saint Marie.
What else has Èlizabeth Bourgine been in? Bourgine's credits include: Private Lessons, A Heart in Winter and My Best Friend.
Shantol Jackson as Detective Sergeant Naomi Thomas
Who is Detective Sergeant Naomi Thomas? Thomas is an intelligent, driven, and committed officer from a nearby island, who quickly established herself as an important member of the Saint Marie team.
What else has Shantol Jackson been in? Jackson has also appeared in films such as Yardie, directed by Idris Elba, and Sprinter.
Shaquille Ali-Yebuah as Officer Sebastian Rose
Who is Officer Sebastian Rose? Rose is a relatively new officer on Saint Marie, joining in season 14.
What else has Shaquille Ali-Yebuah been in? The British actor is known for his work in Solo: A Star Wars Story, Netflix’s iBoy, and the series The Feed. He has also appeared as Benji Achebe in The First Team.
