It's hard to wrap our heads around, but somehow there's sadly just one more episode of this season of The Traitors left as the grand finale airs tomorrow night. But thankfully, there will be another season of The Celebrity Traitors coming to our screens at some point this year, and we've got all the details on it.

The Celebrity Traitors had its inaugural season last October and saw comedian Alan Carr win as the sole Traitor left in the game. It was a season that produced many iconic moments from the 'Big Dog' theory, to Celia Imrie's farts in the cabin and Tom Daley's side eye.

So when is it coming back? And who will be the crucial players? Here's everything we know about the next season of The Celebrity Traitors.

When was The Celebrity Traitors season 2 confirmed?

Following the finale of season one in November last year, the BBC then confirmed a second season of the show was going to happen and would air at some point in 2026.

The head of entertainment at the BBC, Kalpna Patel-Knight, said the show had "truly captivated the nation, becoming a bona fide highlight of the year. In 2026 the doors of the castle will be opened again to welcome celebrity players to the game to see who can charm, who can scheme and ultimately who can survive in series two which promises to be just as unmissable as the first."

Claudia Winkleman will thankfully return as host of the series and it will of course be filmed at Ardross Castle.

When will The Celebrity Traitors season 2 be released?

Given we've just seen the latest season of the civilian version it's likely The Celebrity Traitors won't be on our screens for a while and we reckon it could have a similar release schedule to 2025's season and release sometime in October or November.

Right now there is no official cast list that has been released, however a number of celebrity names have been rumoured to be taking part.

Danny Dyer revealed on his Live and Let Dyer podcast he was initially asked to be part of season one, but declined as he had never seen the show and thought it wasn't for him, but after watching the Celebrity Traitors, he now seems keen to take part.

Also reportedly set to join the cast is TV icon Alison Hammond, who is reportedly in advance talks according to The Sun. "Alison is on the BBC’s hit list for The Celebrity Traitors and she’s keen," a source told the publication.
