Charlie from Love Island season four is back for the 2026 All Stars edition, and there's no denying that he's grown up and glowed up! The former bombshell even said so himself.
"There's definitely a lot of personal growth that has happened," Charlie revealed before entering the villa. "It's been eight years since I went on Love Island, so people will notice a massive difference."
He continued: "I've grown loads as a person, and I'm more confident in who I am, and I don't care what people think. I'm a nice guy and I want the opportunity to show that."
Clearly, a lot has changed for Charlie since he first appeared on Love Island back in 2018, but unlike a lot of his fellow season four contestants (think: Dani Dyer, Adam Collard, and Kaz Crossley), we haven't seen or heard much from him in recent years. With that in mind, here's a refresher on everything you need to know about Love Island's Charlie, from his age to his Instagram details and dating history...
How old is Love Island's Charlie?
Love Island's Charlie, or, to use his full name, Charlie Frederick, is 31 years old.
Where is Love Island's Charlie from?
Charlie is from the seaside city of Plymouth in Devon, but he currently lives in London.
Does Love Island's Charlie have social media?
Of course he does! You can find Charlie on Instagram at @charliefrederick_ or on TikTok at @charfrederick.
Does Love Island's Charlie have a job?
In his Instagram bio, Charlie has his job listed as "9-5 Corporate | Fitness | 1-1 Coaching" β make of that what you will!
What happened on Charlie's original season of Love Island?
Charlie was a contestant on season four of Love Island and entered as a bombshell on day eight. He coupled up with Hayley Hughes (of "he was just too deep for me, asking like 'what's your favourite animal?'" fame), but they didn't last long. Charlie and Hayley were voted least compatible by their fellow Islanders, and then a public vote saw them dumped on day 13.
Why is Charlie back in the Love Island villa?
"I'd like a fair crack at the whip!" Charlie said of his decision to go back on Love Island. "The first time round, I was in there for five days, and I really want to find someone."
To that end, Charlie admitted that he's got "a whole series of unfinished business!"
"Five days was not long enough!" he went on.
What is Charlie's relationship history?
Things quickly fizzled out between Charlie and Hayley when they left the season four villa, and he was later romantically linked to another contestant, Arabella Chi. But Charlie has moved on since then.
"I was in a long-term relationship for four years, and now I've been single for about a year," he said of his recent dating history before entering the Love Island All Stars villa. "I've been dating a lot and moved back to London recently, so I've had some good dates."
We wonder if he'll have any good dates in the villa this time around...
Love Island continues on ITV2 and ITVX at 9pm.
