We may only be a few weeks into January, but if we had to make a call right now, we’d say that 2026 is already shaping up to be a great year for film and TV.

Among the offerings so far, we’ve had the perfect mix of returning faves (hello, Night Manager, season 2) and new obsessions (don’t sleep on Clarice) to keep us glued to our screens. And, since this time of year is always reserved for staying in with snacks, what better time to run through the must-watch titles on our radar?

From binge-in-a-day reality shows to blockbuster musicals and high-octane heist movies, here are the new releases we’re adding to our watchlist.

Getting to peek into the life of a celebrity is always fun. When that celebrity just happens to be one of Britain’s most-watched influencers, we’re absolutely locked in. So far, in season two of Molly-Mae: Behind It All we’ve seen our favourite social-media maven navigate raising a toddler, launching a clothing brand and rebuilding a relationship – all against a backdrop of public scrutiny.

The second half of the season picks up with a fashion show in Paris and Molly debating whether she should walk the runway despite a lack of confidence. Get ready to dive back into her world and follow along for the inside scoop on all things work, love and life.

Family secrets, mysterious disappearances and a dose of comedy to balance it all out? Sign us up! The Wrecking Crew, which stars Jason Momoa (Aquaman, Game of Thrones) and Dave Bautista (Guardians of the Galaxy, Dune), is exactly the kind of movie you’ll want to line up for an undemanding evening of easy entertainment – it’s high-stakes drama that doesn’t get too heavy. Not to be boxed in as an all-jokes-and-no-substance buddy comedy, the film sees Momoa and Bautista play estranged brothers who are reunited on the island of Oahu after their father mysteriously dies.

Cue: conspiracy theories, intense car chases and pretty epic scenery as the pair search for truth and maybe find some healing along the way. A must-watch for anyone looking to fight the January blues RN.

Wicked: For Good (Release date: Out now)

For everyone who’s been holding space for Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande’s Elphaba and Glinda, our time has come. Wicked: For Good is officially available to watch from the comfort of the sofa, meaning you can finally sing along to the bridge of No Good Deed without getting side-eyed (except maybe from the dog).

The second instalment of Jon M Chu’s film series, which is adapted from the original stage musical, follows the chaos that takes over Oz after Elphaba (Erivo) waves goodbye to bestie Glinda (Grande) and goes solo against the Wizard (Jeff Goldblum) and his deceptive regime. More than a tale of good vs bad, this magical movie is all about love, friendship and being true to yourself even if it means potential rejection.

There’s also more singing, more flying monkeys and more Jonathan Bailey, so what’s not to love?

Steal, S1 (Release date: Out now)

Unlike your average heist drama, which is usually 80% set up and 20% action (sorry, Oceans catalogue), Sophie Turner-fronted TV series Steal digs into the aftermath of a billion-pound heist that sees millions of people lose their pensions. When armed robbers force office workers Zara (Turner) and Luke (Archie Madekwe) to execute their demands, the pair end up in a world of secrets, deception and crime.

What follows is a thrilling race against the clock as Zara, the police and MI5 search for the truth and uncover hidden motivations within the web of crime. This show doesn’t mess around and gets straight into the drama, teasing out a deeper post-heist story of wealth and morality across its six episodes.

Where this thriller skips on expensive jewellery and luxe settings, it more than delivers on high-octane drama. Buckle up, you’re in for a ride.
