After three gruelling weeks in the Australian jungle, I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! wrapped up this weekend with Angry Ginge officially crowned King of the Jungle 2025.
Ginge made history as the first social media star to win the show, beating singer and TV personality Tom Read Wilson and EastEnders actress Shona McGarty in the final showdown.
Heading into the final public vote, he already had a solid lead, securing just over half the vote (around 53 per cent). It was much tighter between Tom and Shona, with Tom on 25 per cent and Shona on 22 per cent, putting the 34-year-old actress in third place. Once it came down to the final two, Ginge stormed to victory with 65 per cent of the vote.
"I don’t think I can swear, but I feel amazing," Ginge said after his win. "Honestly, a dream come true. I didn’t think I could go all this way, never mind win. Thank you to everyone who voted."
Reflecting on the experience, he admitted it pushed him to the limit. "It was a lot harder than I thought it’d be. I’d reached out to people before I went in to get some advice, but nobody warned me about what I was about to go through… That was the hardest thing I’ve ever done and was a real mental test. There were so many times I wanted to throw the towel in," he told Ant and Dec.
The 25th series kicked off on 16th November, with a line-up that included Ginge, Tom, Shona, rapper Aitch, singer Martin Kemp, and former footballer Alex Scott.
Ginge had been a favourite from the beginning with 2/1 odds to win. But right before the finale, it looked like Aitch might steal the crown, with the rapper briefly overtaking him at 5/4. In the end, though, Ginge pulled off a decisive and well-earned victory.
