The Celebrity Traitors is back for episode five, after the banishment and murder of six Faithfuls across the game so far. But have the Traitors just made their first big mistake? Fans on Reddit and Twitter definitely think so.

The premise of the game sees Jonathan Ross, Alan Carr and Cat Burns play as Traitors, trying to outsmart the other 16 contestants to go under the radar. Each night, they have the chance to 'murder' one of the Faithfuls, while the Faithful attempt to 'banish' a Murderer at the round table each evening.

And if you've been watching Claudia Winkleman's castle antics unfold, you know Jonathan Ross, Alan Carr and Cat Burns have been playing an absolute blinder as the Traitors, and so far gone undetected.

Until now, that is. In tonight's episode, 22nd October 2025, fans think Cat Burns (let's be honest, the brains of the operation), Alan and Jonathan have just made their first big mistake. But could that be detrimental to their game? Let's get into it - and the other clues.

The Traitors chose to murder Charlotte Church

In the fifth episode, Celia Imrie, Alan Carr and Stephen Fry were sat at breakfast first, and were discussing the imminent murder reveal, depending on who arrived next. Stephen revealed Clare Balding's last words before being banished the day before, threw suspicion onto Charlotte Church.

"It's always good to remember the last wishes of a dying person. What Clare said - she turned to Charlotte who was sitting next to her and said, 'I knew it was you.' So her dying wish is we should consider Charlotte."

Only, er, The Traitors murdered Charlotte Church over night - which means they weren't able to use her as a scapegoat for their next banishment. As fans on X put it, "I think murdering Charlotte was a big mistake for the Traitors, she was someone who was getting suspicion! Everyone at breakfast was gonna banish her! Plus she was good at the challenges!"

Someone else said, "These Traitors are not good. They’d have all voted Charlotte out this episode #TheTraitors"

Nick Mohammed's onto Cat

Taskmaster's Nick Mohammed has already revealed himself as a total genius (Stephen Fry, who?) thanks to his puzzle-solving abilities and general brilliance in the games.

And after Cat's decision to hide the fact she had a shield in the last episode's challenge, in an attempt to 'protect' her whole team, Nick thinks she's actually used it as the perfect way to go under the radar and deflect eyes from her.

He raised his suspicions in this episode during the confessional, but said he felt like it was better to stay close to her for the time being.

Has Cat gone too under the radar?

This episode, more than ever, the Faithful were trying to look at everyone in the game - which meant they were considering the most under-the-radar, quiet people like Celia, Cat and Mark.

The fact that they've been going for the loud, 'suspicious' people every night, and getting it wrong, might mean that they turn their attention to a punt in the dark. If one thing isn't going well, try something new! So, er, does that mean Cat?

They might get cocky

We've seen it before - who could forget the arrogance of Paul in series two, who betrayed his fellow Traitor Ash, and then tried to lean into his cast's trust of him in the dungeon - only for it to backfire? Cat has so far gone completely under the radar, but could that confidence mean she makes a mistake, or tries to be too bold?

Also, Alan Carr has been giggling as his way of hiding his awkwardness around lying - but whose to say that this won't work against him eventually? He's also not had the eyes on him hugely at the round table - and we're not sure he's got the staying power to deflect.

They might turn on each other

Also in this episode, Cat suggested it was time to throw another Traitor under the bus, telling the confessional that the Faithfuls needed something to reignite their spirits.

In a previous episode, Alan asked Cat, " Would you have thrown Jonathan under the bus?"

She replied and said yes, to which Alan said, "If one more person [had voted for him], I would’ve put his name."

As the suspicion rises around Jonathan, will they turn on him? Will they throw him under the bus? Will they sacrifice them to save themselves? Eek.

Only time will tell, eh!
