The day we've all been waiting for is finally here. No, not Christmas... the Strictly Come Dancing final, of course. After weeks of epic highs and emotional lows, the Glitterball trophy is in reach for the Strictly Come Dancing finalists and their dance partners (more on who has made it to the final in a moment).

Beyond that, tonight's final also marks the last time we'll see Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman as hosts of Strictly Come Dancing. Just weeks into the competition, the iconic duo announced they would not be reprising their Strictly Come Dancing presenting roles next season. Since then, viewers (us included) have been eager to find out who will replace Tess and Claudia as presenters of the dance competition series.

With just hours to go, here's everything you need to know about the Strictly Come Dancing final, including what time it's on and who is in it...

What time is the Strictly final on tonight?

The Strictly Come Dancing final airs on BBC One and BBC iPlayer from 7pm on Saturday 20 December.

Who is in the Strictly final?

There are three couples in tonight's Strictly Come Dancing final, they are: Amber Davies and Nikita Kuzmin, George Clarke and Alexis Warr, and Karen Carney and Carlos Gu.

What routines are in the Strictly final?

According to the BBC, the Strictly Come Dancing final begins with a "dazzling group routine" from the show's professional dancers and this year's finalists. After that, the finalists perform three (yes, three!) times in a bid to be crowned winners of this year's series.

As for what those three performances will include? The finalists will revisit a previous routine, having had a masterclass with the judges. Next, they will perform a show dance, and then take to the floor with their favourite dance from the series. Here's what the finalists will dance to tonight...

Amber and Nikita

  • Show dance: Rain On Me by Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande
  • Judges' choice: Paso Doble to Dream On by Aerosmith
  • Favourite dance: Jive to Proud Mary

George and Alexis

  • Show dance: Human by The Killers
  • Judges' choice: Viennese Waltz to Somebody to Love by Queen
  • Favourite dance: Paso Doble to Game of Survival by Ruelle

Karen and Carlos

  • Show dance: Inner Smile by Texas
  • Judges' choice: Argentine Tango to Red Right Hand by Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds
  • Favourite dance: Jive to One Way or Another by Blondie

But that's not all! Aside from a few exceptions, the Strictly Class of 2025 will all then return to the dance floor one last time for a fabulous group number.

How is the Strictly winner decided?

Unlike previous weeks, the Strictly Come Dancing final result is decided by viewers. "Your votes alone will decide who walks away with the Glitterball, as the judges' scores are purely for guidance," the BBC explains.

Strictly Come Dancing is available on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
