Strictly season is in full swing, with the first live show taking place on Saturday 27th September.

For the first time, this year's line-up will take to the dance floor with their professional dance partner and perform a routine, which will be scored by the Strictly panel, including Shirley Ballas, Motsi Mabuse, Anto Du Beke and Craig Revel Horwood.

Amber Davies has joined the show, stepping in for Dani Dyer following her injury.

She was announced as part of this year's line-up just a day before the first live show and will perform with Nikita Kuzmin.

The celebs scores will be added to the leaderboard, and will be combined with the public vote. The two celebs with the lowest result overall will have have to perform for a second tine during Sunday night's dance-off, after which one of them will be voted off.

But don't set aside time this Sunday (28th September), as there's won't be a dance-off this week.

Here's everything you need to know.

Why isn't Strictly Come Dancing on this Sunday?

While Sunday is usually the results show, there will be no Strictly Come Dancing episode on Sunday 28th September. This is because there is no elimination in the first week of Strictly.

Instead the celebs will perform and their scores will be carried over to the second week when the public vote will then open.

After all the couples have danced in week two, the vote will open and the viewers will get the opportunity to vote for their favourite couple or couples.

That means the first results show will take place on Sunday 5th October. At the end of this episode, the Strictly judges will reveal the celebrity they'll be sending home.

Strictly Come Dancing starts on Saturday 27th September at 6:55pm.
