Are Married At First Sight UK's Grace and Ashley still together?

Married At First Sight UK continued with Grace, 31, and Ashley, 35, getting married. But it was far from love at first sight.

Following their nuptials, Grace broke down in tears as she told the cameras: "I wouldn't say he's my type. I'm feeling no instant spark."

For Ashley, things couldn't be any more different, as he gushed about his new bride and praised the experts, all while Grace was contemplating whether to throw the towel in and leave the experiment.

So, are Grace and Ashley still together? And did she leave the epxeriment?

She didn't, although she contemplated leaving.

After their vow ceremony, Grace spoke to the producers about her match with Ashley.

Through tears, she said: "I don't know... maybe I did hope there'd be more of an initial spark. Maybe I just hoped it'd be there more."

She continued: "I'm not really sure why I'm being quite as wobbly as I am right now. I can't put my finger on it. I honestly... I just don't know how I feel. I don't want to do this, sorry."

She then walked away, as the producers questioned what she wanted to do. They told her that it was ok there wasn't an initial spark.

"I don't know what to say. It's just a lot. Sorry, I think I'm just in a negative headspace about it. I don't want to do this, sorry. I just... I can't," she replied.

It looked like she was about leave the experiment for good, but she wiped away her tears and joined Ashley who'd been patiently waiting to take photos.

'It is a little bit awkward," he said as he waited around.

Midwife Grace from Norwich and operations director Ashley from Bridgend got married in episode two, and while the groom was pretty chuffed with his bride, the same couldn't be said for Grace.

She joked a lot when they met and one of her bridesmaids admitted that she does this when she's nervous and they didn't know if it was necessarily a good thing.

The episode then cut to a clip of Grace looking extremely disappointed.

"I wouldn't say he's my type. I'm feeling no instant spark," she said.

Their wedding resumed and the couple were asked to share a kiss, which saw Grace offering Ashley her cheek.

"I like the fact she didn't want to kiss straight away, it shows she's got morals. Now I've got to find out if I'm what she's asked for," he said afterwards.

While taking photos, Grace admitted that she wasn't heavy on PDA.

"It feels a little bit of a knock back because I like someone who is affectionate," Ashley told the cameras.

Although she agreed to continue with the wedding, Grace just couldn't quite seem to move past her feelings, confessing in her VT: "I'm just frustrated that I feel negative when I really wanted to feel positive."

And things didn't improve. While at dinner, her friend asked what she thought of her groom, and she didn't say much. Besides her, Ashley gushed to his friend that he's really happy before turning to Grace to ask if he was what she asked for.

"Yeah, I think so..." she replied, before adding: "I asked for someone confident, charismatic, someone respectful."

Ashley then went on to explain that he was raised to believe that the man was the breadwinner in the house, which annoyed Grace.

"God, here we go. It's 2025, Ashley, men don't have to be the moneymaker and the woman stays home," she said to the cameras.

Grace's friends then grilled Ashley and he told them that her not kissing him at the wedding made him gain "massive respect" for her. Her friend Hannah asked if he's a feminist, to which he replied: "100 per cent no."

He later clarified what he meant, saying: "Not 100 per cent no, that's not the right thing to say. I would say I do have old school morals and I was raised that the man was the breadwinner and things like that."

Based on this, her friend didn't think he'd be a good match for Grace, who is all about women's rights, so she probed him a little more about his definition of a feminist.

He admitted that he was an "old school gent" and would treat her with the utmost respect, and as they talked they came to the conclusion that he is a feminist, but just didn't know the definition.

In his confessional, he joked that he might be a feminist, but wouldn't be "burning his bra".

The friend thought this was a positive shift and relayed the story to Grace, however, she wasn't impressed, saying to her friends: "Am I going to have to bring you [Ashley] up to speed with basic issues?"

She then became emotional, sobbing to her bridesmaids: "I'm just really overwhelmed. I just thought I wanted it to be really easy. It's not easy."

It's not yet known whether Grace and Ashley managed to make it through the experiment as a couple.

Unlike some of the other couples, they don't actually follow each other on Instagram (as of 22nd September).

This is interesting seeing that the other couples do, although it's not necessarily a clue that they're not together, with the cast having to keep their relationship status under wraps while the series airs.

Based on their wedding day though, things didn't look promising for Grace and Ashley, and a teaser clip for their honeymoon teased more trouble ahead as they clashed over Ashley's "old school morals" yet again.
