Love Island's Shakira Khan has savagely responded to romance rumours between her LI bestie Yasmin Pettet and The Traitors' Freddie Fraser.

Following the National Television Awards on Wednesday night (10 September), yesterday The Sun reported Yasmin could be seen holding hands with Freddie at the event and was claimed to have said to Freddie: "We need to go somewhere private, no one can see."

The alleged meeting between the pair added to growing speculation Love Island finalists Yasmin and Jamie Rhodes have split. However, Shakira was not here for the rumours about her friend, and appeared to squash them in a new TikTok comment.

Yesterday, Freddie shared a TikTok of himself in his outfit for the NTAs and underneath the video Shakira commented: "Here he is, the tabloids' Mr Steal Yo' Girl 🤣🤣 Scrub up well Freds 💞."

And then Freddie responded, also appearing to shut down the rumours: "Ahahaha they love to take the piss🤣 Thank you Shakira🩷."

Prior to the reports about Yasmin and Freddie, some fans were already speculating that Yasmin and Jamie had split, with many commenting on the lack of photos and videos of the pair at the National Television Awards. Compare this to their Love Island co-stars Harry and Shakira and Cach and Toni, who were frequently photographed together and shared those moments on social media.

However, Yasmin and Jamie were seen together at various points in the evening, including in one video Love Island host Maya Jama shared of all six finalists in the lift together. And the pair did in fact pose together on the red carpet:

Recently Yasmin opened up her relationship with Jamie and explained the pair had not been intimate, while she deals with her grief, following the death of her beloved cat Miaow Miaow.

Speaking to Fabulous, Yasmin revealed: "I’ve been going through grief and Jamie will just sit there when I cry on him.

"I’ve taken a lot of time to process my emotions, so Jamie and I haven’t been intimate yet. He’s so patient. He’s never rushed that, because he knows it will happen at the right time."

So far Yasmin nor Jamie have commented on the alleged breakup rumours, however Yasmin did jump on her TikTok yesterday to share a video of herself post-NTAs, in which she revealed what a fun night it was and confessed she may have woken up "still drunk."

Here's hoping Yasmin recovers from her hangover.
