Calling all Bella Ramsey and thriller TV fans, Channel 4 has just announced a brand new series starring The Last of Us actor and it sounds incredible.
Announced yesterday by the broadcaster the new series, Maya, was created, written, directed by and also starring Daisy Haggard, and will see Daisy and Bella star as mother and daughter as they enter witness protection in order to escape an unknown threat in their native London.

What is Maya about?
In order to escape a life-threatening danger, Anna and her teenage daughter Maya enter witness protection and relocate to a rural village in Scotland where they adopt new names and identities.
They struggle to adjust to their new lives while also trying to remain undetected from two hitmen who are intent on destroying them. The series will have six episodes, each an hour long.
Who is in the cast of Maya?
Leading the cast of Maya is Daisy Haggard, who created, wrote and will serve as co-director on the series alongside Jamie Donoughue. Daisy will play the role of Anna, who takes her daughter away from London and into witness protection.
Speaking about her first time directing, Daisy said: "I’m thrilled to be taking the leap into directing, and excited to have the opportunity to co-direct the series alongside the brilliant Jamie Donoughue."

Set to star alongside Daisy in the role of Anna's daughter Maya is Bella Ramsey. Bella and Daisy previously worked together on the animated series Hilda, and Daisy has spoken about how perfect Bella is for the role of Maya.
"Ever since I first dreamt up this show, there has only ever been one Maya… I wrote the part with Bella so clearly in my head and I honestly still can’t believe they want to be part of it. Bella is pure magic, just insanely talented, and I can’t wait for us to work together," she explained.
Bella also expressed their excitement for the role, saying in a Channel 4 press release: "This story and these characters Daisy has created are so alive, nuanced, wickedly funny and scarily dark. Every character jumps off the page, the dialogue is incredibly witty and I’m so excited to get to play Maya opposite Daisy’s Anna."
You'll most recently have seen Bella star as Ellie in the HBO series The Last of Us, as well as in Game of Thrones as Lyanna Mormont.
