David Beckham recently revealed that something "is missing" in his life amid the ongoing 'feud' with his son Brooklyn Beckham and his wife Nicola Peltz.
The former Manchester United footballer, 50, opened up about missing his successful footballer career in a new interview with Time Magazine, saying: "I miss training every day. I miss playing every weekend. Every day, I wake up, and I feel like something’s missing. Even at 50 years old, in my head, I can still play."
The candid interview comes after months of speculation that the Beckham family have fallen out.
Just last month, Brooklyn and Nicola missed David's early 50th birthday party in London, further fuelling rumours that the family are at war.
So, what's really going on with the Beckham family? And why are they supposedly beefing?
Here's the key details you need to know about the alleged family feud.
Romeo's gf Kim Turnball
It's been reported that the Beckham feud started back in December when Romeo Beckham, 22, began dating London-born DJ Kim Turnball, 24, who TMZ claimed was the ex-girlfriend of Brooklyn.
Cruz Beckham cleared this up on his Instagram, however, replying to a fan: "Brooklyn and Kim never dated."
Brooklyn and Kim do know each other, though. Kim dated Madonna and Guy Ritchie's son, Rocco Ritchie, who Brooklyn is friends with and they've hung out at some of the same places.
According to TMZ, Brooklyn and Nicola are said to be concerned about Kim's "motives", so will be keeping their distance.
Brooklyn and Nicola missed David's 50th birthday
The feud rumours gained more traction in April 2025, following David's 50th birthday celebrations. To mark the big birthday, the athlete had an early celebration in London and Nicola and Brooklyn were noticeably missing from the occasion.
According to TMZ: "Brooklyn and Nicola will not be present at any public family events that Kim is at," which could explain why they weren't at David's bday bash.
Social media drama
The Beckham fans are known for publicly gushing over one another in social media comments, but eagle-eyed fans have pointed out that none of the clan commented on Brooklyn and Nicola's anniversary post.
Brooklyn shared a photo from their wedding alongside the caption: "Happy 3 year anniversary baby x I love you with all my heart x I’m so lucky I get to spend everyday with you and wake up to your beautiful face everyday you are my world x I love you so much Nicola xxxxxxx."
But none of the family appeared to comment on the loved up image, and it doesn't look like any of them have liked it either.
As well as this, some subtle Beckham family drama may have surfaced in the Instagram comments section.
On a recent post by Mia Regan, who is Romeo Beckham’s ex-girlfriend, Nicola commented: "So beautiful Mia," complete with a sparkle and pink heart emoji.
Just a few days later, Romeo’s younger brother Cruz seemingly echoed the sentiment by commenting: "So beautiful Romeo" under one of Romeo’s own posts.
Romeo responded with a series of laughing emojis, leaving fans to wonder if there was some playful shade or just brotherly banter at play.
Brooklyn and Nicola missed Victoria's bday
It's not just David's birthday that the duo missed. On 17th April, Victoria celebrated her 51st birthday on a luxury boat with all her family - except Brooklyn and Nicola. The couple were partying in Coachella instead.
Fans have pointed out that neither of them publicly acknowledged Vic's birthday either, with one commenting on Brooklyn and Nicola's anniversary photo: "Your wifey doesn't allow you to say happy birthday to your mum?"
Of course, this is just social media so the couple could have well sent a private message to VB, but nonetheless, it's raised suspicion amongst fans.
To add fuel to the fire, Brooklyn didn't wish his mother a Happy Mother's Day on the grid, while Cruz and Romeo did, both sharing throwback videos from her Spice Girls days.
It was also noticed that earlier this year that Brooklyn and Nicola skipped Victoria Beckham's Paris Fashion Week show. According to an insider, this was because Kim was there. The couple did, however, attend the Burberry fashion show in London.
Victoria and Nicola's long-running 'feud'
Victoria and Nicola's issues are said to stem back as far as Nicola and Brooklyn's 2022 wedding. At the time, reports suggested that Nicola would wear a dress from Victoria's collection. However, she chose Valentino and Brooklyn wore custom Dior, while Victoria dressed in her own brand for the big day.
Nicola later addressed the issue in an interview with Variety in August 2022, saying: "I was going to and I really wanted to, and then a few months down the line, she realized that her atelier couldn’t do it, so then I had to pick another dress."
There was also the supposed seating snub at the wedding, with only the Peltz family sitting at the top table with the bride and groom, while David and Victoria were assigned a different table. A guest told Daily Mail at the time: "It really felt as if the Beckhams were not at the forefront."
And then during the couple's honeymoon, they were joined by the Peltz family while visiting various European cities. The Beckhams didn't join them, despite being on holiday in Croatia around the same time.
That same year, Nicola did an interview with Tatler where they called her, the "new Mrs. Beckham" - a title many saw as a dig at Victoria.
Nevertheless, Nicola shut down feud rumours in the Variety August 2022 interview, saying: "They’re always going to try and put people down. But everyone gets along, which is good."
