Married at First Sight Australia is officially over for another year, and while we're beyond sad not to have this chaotic lot on our TV screens each night, the good news is the cast has been given back control of their Instagrams.
As part of the show's rules, all the contestants must hand over control to their personal Instagram accounts while the show is airing. This is to stop spoilers from getting out and also to protect the contestants' welfare, as the comment section is also turned off on all posts.
However, during this season's airing a few of the cast members did somehow manage to get their Instagrams back like Dave or use other accounts such as Jacqui, who started posting from her jewellery business' account on Instagram.
And so while we've already had updates from Dave, Billy, Jacqui, Clint, Eliot, Lauren, and Veronica, the rest of the cast's Instagrams have been in the hands of production...until now.
Earlier today (12 May), a number of the cast all celebrated getting their Instagrams back by posting everything from thirst traps to Q+A segments and the occasional shady message.
Here's all the first posts you need to see from this season of MAFS Australia's cast now they have their Instas back.
All the first posts from the MAFS Australia cast after social media ban lifts
Jamie
Fan favourite Jamie has finally returned to the gram with full control over her grid, and she's slowly starting to post her own content again.
Taking to her Instagram stories, she posted a picture of a steamy mirror with lipstick written over it "She's back", before sharing a mirror selfie and a picture from a boujie restaurant.
Awhina
Awhina jumped straight on her Instagram earlier today following the ban, and shared a video of herself celebrating her Instagram coming back.
She then added an "Ask Me Anything" to her Instagram Stories and started responding to fans' questions. And the first one she answered was about setting her relationship status straight and she clarified she and Billy are just friends.
"I'm very single, and I'm sorry to the 1929928338838 questions about Billy and I we are just friends," she replied to a fan who asked if she was dating anybody.
Adrian
Adrian celebrated his Instagram freedom by hopping onto his Stories and grid to share a number of pics and videos from Australian Fashion week, which he attended alongside fellow MAFS Australia cast Carina and Tony.
Carina
As well as posting BTS from Fashion Week, including her getting ready process, Carina also shared a number of seriously sizzling pictures of herself from a photoshoot and captioned it: "I guess it’s time to break the internet… #shesback."
Paul
Despite Paul and Carina being broken-up their returns to Instagram have been pretty similar. Paul posted a photoshoot of himself looking suave in a black suit and captioned the image series: "One chapter closed, a new one ahead…"
He then shared a topless video of himself to Stories in front of a pool, captioning it: "Back like I never left."
Sierah
Unlike the rest of the cast, Sierah's Instagram return took a more sombre tone. She posted to her Stories a series of black and white text posts where she claimed she had been "silenced" and called out people "who caused me harm".
In one post she shared a picture of herself at her wedding, and then another where she is seen crying at a commitment ceremony. She then went onto post the following:
"For me to look the way I did after just five weeks something had to have happened. Women don’t break themselves down like that. I was silenced in the media because the truth was a liability. The people who caused me harm have controlled the narrative for long enough. I will speak soon."
She then added in another post:
"Isolation is a recognised form of psychological abuse. It occurs when a person is deliberately distanced from their support networks - including friends, family, or sources of emotional or social support.
"This tactic is often used to increase control, create depending and reduce a persons ability to resist or seek help. In emotionally intense environments, this kind of behaviour can escalate quickly and be easily missed - especially when there’s limited outside contact.
"Over time, isolation erodes confidence distorts perspective and makes it harder for the victim to recognise or escape the abuse."
She then went onto thank her followers who offered her support.
Rhi
In classic drama-free style Rhi has taken her return to Instagram to share clips from the Gracie Abrams tour she attended and a glam makeup getting ready video.
Meanwhile Rhi's husband Jeff hasn't posted anything yet.
Beth
The comments are still turned off on Beth's socials, but for her first post back she's shared a number of fun pictures of herself in workout kit and aesthetic pictures of juice.
Teejay
Teejay really said 'ok it's time for a thirst trap' as his return to Instagram consisted of a shirtless picture of himself in a pool, while wearing a cowboy hat that he captioned: "I’m back, Darling."
Ashleigh
While her time on the show was short, it didn't stop Ashleigh from drumming up a lot of support and in her first Instagram Story since getting control of her IG, Ashleigh shared a cute selfie to thank fans for their support during her time on the show.
Katie
Another person who got a lot of love for her experience on the show was Katie, and as part of her return to Instagram she posted a video where she spoke about her self-love journey she's going on.
She captioned the video: "Something has shifted… and it feels like the start of a brand new chapter. For the first time in my life, I’m truly focused on my physical health—not from a place of pressure or perfection, but from self-respect. Growing up, I didn’t have the tools, the culture, or the support to make health a priority… but I do now. And I’m learning, growing, and transforming in real time. Can’t wait to share more of this journey with you—inside and out."
