***Contains spoilers for Married At First Sight season 12***
The Married At First Sight Australia season 12 final vows came to an end this evening (7th May), with the remaining couples sharing their declarations for one another.
The first part of the vows ended with Beth and Teejay calling it quits, Jamie and Dave deciding to stay together, and Awhina and Adrian saying they were going their separate ways, but then changing their minds, kissing and leaving together anyway.
Carina and Paul were the last couple to take their vows and things got tense, as Carina addressed his recent decision to meet up with his backup bride Hannah Renee.
Read on for a full recap of the final vows, who stayed together and what we thought of all the speeches.
Carina and Paul
The final vows resumed with Carina and Paul finishing off their declarations.
"Despite everything, we've always managed to come back to each other, to forgive and to move forward. There's not a doubt in my mind that you are the one for me, and I never want to risk letting you go again," he said.
Paul then started speaking in the language of love, to which Carina replied: "Sweet."
Carina continued, talking about their initial spark and all the good times they'd share together, before bringing up the most recent challenge in their marriage...
"You made a decision that would deeply impact our relationship - you chose to go on a date with another woman.
"As a Christian, I've been taught to forgive. I can't ignore the good times in this experiment where you made me feel special and cared for and loved."
Carina started to get emotional and the smile on Paul's face had now dropped.
"A few weeks ago, this decision would've been easy for me. There would be no question I'd want to stay with you, but you threw it all away in a selfish act," she explained.
She then delivered the final blow, saying: "Paul, I was yours. You had me and you ruined it, and now you're going to have to live with that for the rest of your life."
I'd say 'ouch', but it's not really a shocker given how upset Carina was after Paul got back from the date with Hannah. She compared what he'd done to "cheating" and stormed out of their apartment, before returning to tell him that he needed to get his stuff and go. At the last dinner party, the other brides and grooms questioned Paul about his actions and it didn't make things any easier for him and Carina.
Carina was recently linked to US rapper Drake, while Paul was reportedly spotted with Hannah after filming.
Rhi and Jeff
We didn't expect anything else from Rhi and Jeff....
Just as we anticipated, the couple decided to stay together at their final vows.
"Rhi Rhi... I started to picture our future together and I knew I wanted you around as much as possible, which is why I gave you a key to my home," Jeff began his speech.
"I can confidently say, Rhi, I am falling in love with you. Rhi, you're it for me. I choose you and I hope this is forever."
"Jeffie, you are worth every day, every week, every month it takes to discover our happily ever after. You tick every single box," Rhi said.
Since the start of the season, the couple have been inseparable. They dated before the show and worried that might mean they weren't meant to be, but each week, they returned to the sofas even stronger than before.
Plus Jeff gave Rhi and key to his home during Home Stays, so it would have been a bit awkward if he asked for it back at the final vows.
The Cam and Jules of season 12, we love Rhi and Jeff together.
Please don't forget our invite for the real wedding, guys!
Jacqui and Ryan
Now for the theatrics!
Jacqui and Ryan kept us entertained throughout season 12. You never knew whether they were going or coming, but at the final vows the pair finally decided to put an end to their rollercoaster romance.
"Jacqui, we were wild, wonderful and weird as hell," Ryan said, before reeling off a list of pros and cons, including her amazing hair, their intimacy and Jacqui being a "high-maintenance nightmare."
"Thank you," Jacqui responded in true Jacqui fashion.
Ryan apologised for saying she had "crazy eyes" early in the season.
Jacqui then continued: "If this experiment taught me anything, it's that you shouldn't try and fix your husband. He needs to do the work on his own. I am not a rehabilitation centre..."
Ryan laughed and called her vows "ridiculous", to which Jacqui replied: "Don't call my final vows ridiculous, that's not nice."
"Today I choose peace and to walk away from this relationship. Ryan, in a world of red flags, you are the red carpet," she added.
LOL.
Despite dropping that bombshell, Jacqui then complimented him on his biceps, and they both went their separate ways.
As Ryan walked off, he said: "Goodbye and thanks for all the criticism. You really haven't grown, not one bit. Be gone with you, you horrible woman," while Jacqui celebrated.
While I can't stop laughing at how chaotic their final vows were, it was quite the perfect ending for their wild romance. As the episodes previously aired in Australia, we knew that they weren't together and that Jacqui is now engaged to Clint - who was married to Lauren. So, we knew that Ryan and Jacqui didn't make it, but we couldn't have written this ending better if we tried.
We can't wait for their run-in at the reunion tomorrow night (Thursday 8th May).
Married At First Sight Australia airs on E4 on Monday to Thursday.
