Following many dramatic weeks of dinner party confrontations, tense sit downs with the experts, and plenty of ups and downs (and that's just Jacqui and Ryan's relationship), Married at First Sight Australia is airing the final vows this week. This season's remaining couples will decide once and for all if they want to continue their relationships outside of the experiment, by taking part in a final vow ceremony where they'll confess their true feelings for each other.
And so ahead of what can be the most shocking and dramatic moments of the whole series, we're taking a stroll down memory lane to reflect on the biggest MAFS Australia final vow moments of all time, and get ready because there's some real shockers.
The most shocking MAFS Australia final vow moments of all time
When Tracey called Dean out on his behaviour with Davina - season 5
We'll never forget this bombshell final vow moment. During season five groom Dean spent a lot of the series getting to know bride Davina, not his actual wife Tracey. However, he didn't pursue the connection and instead returned to Tracey.
Despite this the pair stayed together right until the end. During the final vows, Dean poured his heart out to Tracey. She was having none of it and shared an epic speech: "You have made me feel alive. You bring out my playfulness and accept the parts of me I've battled for so long. I feel like you have met your match in me...Unfortunately Dean you do not deserve me." Mic drop.
Dean was unable to take Tracey's vows and dropped his cards and walked away.
When Ning cut Mark off halfway through his vows - season 6
Mark and Ning had a complicated relationship right from the start, but ultimately it seemed as if they were heading towards a strong finale together.
And as the final vows began it seemed as if nothing could go wrong. Ning began by expressing her feelings for Mark, after weeks of keeping her walls up. The issue of where the couple would live was brought up and Ning said she wanted to ignore the long distance aspect of their relationship and dive in head first.
Mark then began to say his vows and this is where it went rapidly downhill. He savagely told her, "Ning, I came on here to find love but I haven't found it with you," before going onto say he didn't care about her enough to ask her to move across the country with her children to be with him.
As he started to share his thanks for the time they've spent together, Ning cut him off and called him out for dragging on the relationship.
She said: "Just stop. This is bulls***. You know you had the choice to leave last week. So I just don't get why we're here. You're selfish because you kept me around for another week to get here and to humiliate me. I'm done Mark."
And with that she dumped her vow cards on the ground and stormed off.
When Cam proposed to Jules - season 6
While the whole point of MAFS Australia is that the couples are navigating marriage together, the couples are never actually legally married, and so when they leave the experiment they do occasionally get engaged and married officially after the show.
And that was just the case with season six's Jules and Cam. After a strong series together, during Cam and Jules' final vows, Cam got down on one knee and popped the question for real to Jules.
She of course said yes, and the pair are still together now, married with two kids. So, just a PSA to the rest of the MAFS Australia cast, not all final vows need to be sad.
When Ella and Mitch basically didn't make a decision - season 9
Ella and Mitch had one of the most surprising final vow moments in the show's history. The pair had had plenty of ups and downs and by the time final vows came around Mitch was not sure what he wanted to do.
During the ceremony Ella kicked things off by pouring her heart out and saying she wanted to make the relationship work in the real world.
Mitch, however, essentially said he wasn't ready to make a decision, telling Ella: "What I can't do and what I won't do, is stand here and be forced to make a decision that I'm not yet ready to make. I'm sorry Ella, but right now I just can't give you the commitment I know that you want."
The pair ended up staying together and turned up the reunion dinner party as a couple. However, they soon split after this.
When Tamara and Brent just slagged each other off - season 9
Some final vow ceremonies are just uncomfortable to watch and Tamara and Brent was at the top of the list as they basically just took it in turns to say what they didn't like about each other.
They'd had a tumultuous journey throughout the experiment and it was clear to everyone they weren't going to make it beyond final vows. However, they both still showed up.
Tamara kicked things off by attempting to offer Brent some 'advice' that was not received well: "I don't see a future with you and I feel the best part for me. Is a path alone at this stage. I'm sorry. If you take any advice from me, it's just to be yourself and that you're enough."
Brent then shared his part and listed what he didn't like about his wife: "You became vindictive, spiteful and self-absorbed. I was made to feel like a fool chasing you around for the smallest amount of decency and respect that anyone in the world should show another human."
Oh and he didn't stop there, he then added: "You are not God's gift to humanity. So stop looking down on everyone. I don't even know where you get the confidence to do so. So on that note, good luck and good riddance."
So yeah it was defo over for those two.
When Lyndall wouldn't let Cameron speak - season 10
Lyndall and Cameron started off so well, so it was even more devastating when the couple's relationship started to break down towards the end of the series. However, it did lead to one of the more iconic final vows moment.
After feeling disregarded by Cameron and a lack of enthusiasm for the relationship, Lyndall kicked off the vow ceremony with an iconic speech.
She told him: "To put it plainly, stay in your lane, and I'll stay in mine. I want to build a life I'm proud of and that life does not include you."
She had finished speaking and just as Cameron went to give his vows she stopped him mid-sentence and said: "Before you start, just on that. I just feel like no matter what you say today, it's only going to disappoint me again. I think I'm just done."
And with that Cameron walked away.
When Lauren called out Jono's relationship with Ellie
At the start of their relationship everyone was Team Jono, as Lauren was often very cold towards her husband. However, the tables soon turned when Jono was accused of getting to know fellow bride Ellie, rather than focusing on his relationship with wife Lauren.
By the time their final vows rolled around, Ellie was a big focus of the vow ceremony.
Jono kicked things off by saying how much hope he had at the start of their marriage, but then called Lauren out for her behaviour towards him. He then highlighted how she 'snatched' his phone off him and claimed she had said his messages to Ellie were flirty, while he claimed they weren't. He then went onto say she was making him out to look like a liar.
Lauren then started speaking and said how she felt the homestays were a turning point in in their relationship and she was looking forward to the future, that was until she heard about his relationship with Ellie.
She said: "It was brought to my attention that you had been continuing to build some kind of relationship with another bride, one that you hid from me and had the audacity to blame me for when you were exposed. My world felt like it had come crashing down around me.
"Instead of taking accountability on the Final Dinner Party, you chose to try and flip the script on me, blame me for not caring, for never liking you and not being here for the right reasons."
Lauren then ended her speech with the iconic line: "Although you completely wasted my time in terms of finding a romantic partner, you taught me that I should always trust my gut. Jono, I don't see a future with you and no it's not me, it's you."
She then walked away and Jono said he was "free" at last. It's worth noting Jono did in fact start dating Ellie after this and they are still together now.
