Married At First Sight Australia had a formidable season 12, and came back to top our expectations with its 13th season earlier this year.
Landing 2 February Down Under and joining E4 in the UK from 9 March, the series has already had some pretty *dramatic* moments. This includes a bisexual contestant walking down the aisle without knowing if she was going to be paired with a man or a woman.
And *spoiler* if you've been keeping up with the headlines from Australia, or just what the stars are getting up to on social media, you'll know that things don't end well between Gia and Scott. Not only did Gia refuse to take part in the couple swap for fear of being paired with Danny, but now the former couple are taking shots at one another on social media.
But the scandal that had us well and truly shocked? When Danny rated his attraction to Bec as a mere 3/10. Sorry, but he's got to be joking!
The moment had us thinking about some of the most dramatic moments we've seen over the years on the show.
From secret affairs to toothbrush-gate and butt dialling, here's some of the moments we can't forget.
Jacqui swaps numbers with backup groom
On season 12, the couples were given the chance to go on dates with their almost brides and grooms. Jacqui met up with Rory, who she was almost matched with before the experts decided to pair her with Ryan.
While on the date, Jacqui told Rory: "If you want to give me your number, then I can text you. I will be out of this experiment in probably 10 days."
Back at her apartment with Ryan, she admitted to going on the date but left out some details.
Asked by the producers if she told Ryan about swapping numbers, she said she didn't, giggling: "But he didn't ask so it's OK".
Jessika Power and Dan Webb's Affair
Jessika, who was married to Mick Gould, and Dan, who was paired with Tamara Joy, started seeing each other secretly on the show. The pair eventually revealed their relationship during a heated Commitment Ceremony, where Jessika told the others: "I came into this experiment wanting to find someone I could build a life with... I've found that, but it's not with Mick, it's with Dan"
The revelation caused lots of drama, with Mick accusing Jessika of manipulating him to stay in the experiment.
Claire and Adam's kiss
In season 10, viewers were left in shock when Claire kissed Adam despite being married to Jesse. The kiss caused a lot of drama on the show, especially because Jesse had her suspicions and it took the duo a while before fessing up.
Toothbrush-gate
This was a very crap moment on the show - pun intended. In very shocking events, David Cannon used his wife Hayley Vernon's toothbrush to clean the toilet. David recorded the act of revenge on his phone after entering Hayley's apartment without permission, following the discovery that she had "cheated" on him by kissing fellow MAFS groom Michael Goonan. The whole thing blew up at a dinner party and the pair were later asked to leave the experiment by the experts.
Ines Basic and Sam Ball's affair
One of the most infamous couple swaps of MAFSAU was between Ines Basic and Sam Ball. The pair met up in secret and things got heated. "It’s just bound to happen. Sam with his shirt off, me with my clothes off, just pashing on," Ines said at the time. But, it wasn't just the cheating that shocked fans, it was Sam's revelation. At the next Commitment Ceremony, he revealed their secret to everyone else and also broke the news that he didn't see a future with Ines, ouch!
Harrison Boon's secret "girlfriend"
Harrison Boon's fairytale wedding to Bronte Schofield in season 10 was overshadowed by Bronte's friends telling her that he had a secret girlfriend on the outside, who was later identified as Abby Miller. The revelation caused a lot of doubt between them and eventually led to their breakup. Miller revealed that her and Harrison reunited after the show, but he started dating Gina at the beginning of 2023 and the pair are now engaged.
Butt dial
In season 10, Rupert accidentally butt-dialed his wife Evelyn, who overheard two other grooms, Hugo and Dan, saying unkind comments about their wives. This caused a lot of drama, especially as Evelyn then confronted their wives about the whole thing. While speaking to Dan's wife at the time, Sandy, Evelyn said: "He was insinuating that he was too good for this experiment and too good for you." She added that Dan showed the boys photos of his ex-partners and boasted about how "hot" they were.
Olivia and Domenica's beef
In the ninth season, Olivia Googled Domenica and found her then-active OnlyFans account. She then sent an image round to the rest of the group and all hell broke loose between her and Domenica at the dinner party.
